We'd definitely stay there again.
We had a fantastic family holiday at the Alva. It's in a great position central to all the many many restaurants ( with fantastic food and options), bars and shops. The rooms were very spacious, comfortable and cleaned every day with fresh towels. The kitchen area is basic but funtional with an under counter fridge, toaster, kettle and a two pan electric hob. The air conditioning serves the room very well. The pool area is good with a small bar. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. And it's literally a 2 or 3 minute walk to the beach. The resort was pretty busy but it's a family resort so no idiots and wasn't very expensive to dine out (which we did every night). We thought it was cheaper than the canaries and some of the Greek island resorts we've been to. So yeah, all in all it was perfect for us and would 100% stay there again if we were doing Cyprus.

Exceptional! Best hotel in Protaras! Excellent location. Room is fantastic with good kitchen equipment, quiet air con and good Wi-Fi. House keeping is brilliant and friendly and front desk very helpful. I cannot find fault with this hotel! Highly recommended and will return.

No one can compare e to Alva’s Hospitality!
The staff went above and beyond to make me comfortable. Management went above and beyond to make me happy. The day I checked out I lost a Diamond earring. The wine staff pitched in to help me find it AND THEY DID! I love Alva! I will return every year!

A disco was part of the hotel.We could not sleep and management did not care at all. We paid a lot and i do not recommend it.

Firstly we would like to apologize if you were inconvenienced in any way due to the restaurant's entertainments program during the holiday weekend. As the reception informed you the manager would see you first thing in the morning to which you replied that you would prefer to correspond by email rather than see her in person. We never received an email and at no time did you come to see the Manager. We would also like to point out that you left without paying your extras and without giving us the opportunity to speak to you in person.

Very basic room, been here several times and know there are better rooms. Hotel was half empty but not offered a better room or upgrade. Asked to print boarding passes but this seemed a difficult task for them - I would have expected them to say 'of course'. Unlikely to revisit

We are sorry that you did not like your accommodation, you were, however, allocated a self catering studio as booked. The hotel was and is still full so we cannot give free upgrades all the time. You were fortunate on your previous visit to have received a free upgrade to one of our new suites, however, this cannot always be the case. The reception staff print boarding passes for guests frequently and as you can check with other reviews the staff are always friendly and willing to help.

The hotel is perfectly situated, close to the beach and to shops and restaurants. The rooms were very comfortable and well designed, each with a private balcony. The beautiful pool and bar were very much appreciated after a day of sight-seeing or shopping. The staff were very polite, helpful and friendly. They made us feel very welcome and made an effort to help us with even the smallest enquiry.

Location couldn't be better, it is close to Fig Tree Bay which is a fantastic beach, there is a bakery nearby that gives you fresh bread and loads of options for lunch. Lots of amusements for the kids, good ice-creams, everything in a short walk distance. I stayed on room 209 which was perfect. It is facing the swimming pool and it is very quiet because it is also away from the street towards the back of the building. I'm not sure how the experience would be if I had ended up in a room facing the Love Boat Pub which is next door. It sounded quite noisy but I can't really say that would affect whoever were in those rooms.

Perfect!
Chose Alva Apartments as it was literally just across the road from the beach and in an area offering lots of restaurants etc, but more family orientated than Ayia Napa. Did not need to spend any more money on beach front hotel as accommodation provided all we needed including full kitchen and lovely pool area with bar/cafe. Didn't have breakfast as we had lazy mornings or early starts for trips so chose not to pay for up front, but were informed there if required. Good facilities to use when checking out and unable to keep room for a further day as other guests coming. Perfect!

Super value and good location
Very good value and excellent modern rooms with a sea view. Beds were very comfy and the hotel was very clean. Staff were very friendly and location is good for the beach and bars or restaurants.

This property is rated 3 star, I did not expect it to be very good. We were very pleasantly surprised, firstly the staff are wonderful, the location is fantastic, the food was excellent, we upgraded to a suite and the room was exactly like the pictures, very clean, lovely bathroom, the only thing that is confusing is how this hotel is rated 3 stars, we would definitely recommend! Fantastic!

Was delighted to be upgraded to a suite. Fabulous outlook from 4th floor. Lovely bathroom. Very comfy beds. Suite was fresh and light. Enjoyed our entire stay. Lovely staff, very friendly. Location was perfect. Everything on the doorstep, but quiet too. If I returned I would make sure to try and book a suite as it made my holiday, however as long as the room was bright and well appointed I would be happy. Great happy hour around pool & later in restaurant ! Great value on cocktails!

We opted for the suite rather than the 1 bedroomed apartment - we had the option of both on arrival which was good of the hotel. Suite is much better, apartment didn't look that good if I am honest. Downside with the suite was that is open-plan and we had one of our kids with us! Receptionist on arrival was excellent - we had to pay an extra 15 Euros per night for our son, for some reason this hadn't come through when we booked the room. Hotel is on main street so is close to everything. We were supposed to have free Wi-fi but this was not the case.
