View of Bras d’or Lake. 20 minutes from Sydney. Gas station right beside. Restaurant on premise. Much better price than Sydney hotels. Overall, everything good.

Great place.Close to Sydney.Reasonable rates.Super clean and comfortable room. Only minor issue I had was there was a good amount of old nails and screws on the ground by the office entrance.Scaffolding told me some renovations where taking place but the hazard of ending up with a flat was real.But again, other than that I would recommend Kow,s Inn to anyone anytime

No one was at the property upon arrival, even though I had a confirmed reservation a week prior. I called a number left for delivery drivers that was posted in the window, and they sent someone who arrived 10-15 minutes later. Once I got into the room they left, and I was alone at the property. The person opened the room and turned on the heat, as it was very cold. The room was dusty, with the previous persons phone charger still plugged in. There was a stain in the tub that I had to wash out. To get the room warm took hours, and the next morning when I took a shower, there was no water pressure, or hot water. Not a great experience, however, I would imagine once they are in their peak tourist season, these issues would not be in play.

On arrival, the heating/AC unit did not work. It took two tries before the owner moved me to another room. The new room did not have a working light in the bathroom. While testing the hair dryer, I had to push a reset button on an outlet, which also turned the lights on. These rooms were not ready for a guest. The owner was also not always available because she ran the restaurant. The actual room was comfortable and large.
