This luxury house is situated beside the 18th green and 2 mins stroll to the Vila Sol resort clubhouse /course & tennis courts. The house has a communal superb pool and an upstairs bedroom overlooks the 18th green. The adjacent new hotel has all the facilities expected of a 5* resort. The Portuguese Open has twice been held at Vila Sol Resort.. Vilamoura is 8-10 mins drive where there are several renowned golf courses - Old Course, Millennium, Ocean, Pinhal and Victoria Course. A water park is a 5 minute drive from the house. At the entrance of Vila Sol resort - walking distance from the house - are bars/pubs, an Italian Restaurant, a patisserie and small shop. The nearest beach is a 5 minute drive away. There is an excellent large supermarket in Almancil only a 5 minute drive from the house.

Needs updating
Thank you for allowing us to stay however we have some feedback we hope is taken constructively. We were disappointed to find on arrival that the property wasn’t very clean, this resulted in 2hrs cleaning preparing for the arrival of other family members. The fridge had been left off as had the freezer so this also required us cleaning it. We had to go out and buy candles and air fresheners due to their being a musty smell. We noticed the downstairs AC wasn’t working and upon raising this it was already apparent, I believe provisions such as a fan could have been made with the AC knowingly not working, this was slightly frustrating. We found the curtains dirty and many marks along the walls and common areas which didn’t give the property a welcome feel. Previous complaints hadn’t been rectified such as the rear patio was full of dirt and a broken chair left in the corner. Overall the location is great and the pool was lovely, but the property was tired and felt like it needed some much needed TLC. The furniture is basic and serves its purpose but it definitely needs an update. Other issues were light fittings hanging from the ceiling showing exposed wiring, master bedroom and downstairs bedroom door handles loose and therefore could not shut as you could get locked in. Only 1 pillow per person in each bedroom, spares could be provided. 3 Sun loungers but only one with a cushion. Patio chairs all dirty and had to be wiped down.

Return to Vila Sol
We have stayed at Vila Sol around 15 times now but this was a first for us staying at Sunset Villas. Pros : The accomodation was clean, spacious and the Villa was in close proximity to the pool area. We know the local area well & found it wasn’t too far to walk to the local shops and restaurants. Ubers are plentiful, easy & cheap if travelling further afield to the marina . Cons : The patio area outside felt tired. Mis matched, worn & dirty loungers, one with padded cushions others without . One chair at the dining table had a broken arm. (There are no loungers or parasols at the pool area at this complex so these were the only loungers) . We had a few issues with hot water but managed to get agent out to sort. No mid stay clean so tricky trying to wash bed sheets etc . Although it was clear from info in listing description, it is worth noting that the 3rd bedroom is in the apartment basement so can seem quite far away from main bedrooms upstairs. Just worth considering if travelling with younger children ….. All in all, we had a lovely holiday.

Lovely Villa fully equipped for our family- great communication with host for early check in, and when we locked ourselves out - wouldn't hesitate to recommend - we didn't hire a car was cheap and easy to Uber to vilamoura from pestana hotel which is 2 mins walk from house

Lovely town house in great location
This is our second holiday at Villa Sol and the accommodation was exactly as described. Clean and great communication. The area is lovely with clean pool and well kept gardens. Lots of restaurants and great beaches just a short drive away. Thank you.

Excellent spot with pool view
Great property for a family of up to 6 people. One double bedroom is in the basement but spacious. Balconies are a good size and perfect for sunbathing or chilling out with a glass of wine in the evenings. Car hire makes life easier to get to but taxis are not overly expensive to the beach or shops.

Beautiful house in great location
The house upon arrival was spotless and very spacious, everything you needed was on hand. The golf club beside was very nice serving a beautiful lunch. Only a few minutes drive from gorgeous beaches and the fashionable town of Vilamoura . two superb restaurants nearby called diplomatico and La Cabane In quarteira serving delicious local produce!! would recommend to anyone!!
