Not worth it.
Breakfast was very bad, would get better out of a deli at 5 in the evening, Room a bit shabby, holes in subfloor under carpet, chunks taken out of tiles in bathroom and bath basin , wall tiles cracked Leisure centre is decent, staff are very friendly. Dinner menu is pricey for what you get.very noisy, wouldn’t recommend really unless you’re just looking for a Kip for a night but not worth the €110 I paid.

Disappointing overall Rooms need an upgrade, expensive in comparison to better appointed rooms. Waited 40 minutes for breakfast, which didn't arrive. Staff were pleasant but clearly need more kitchen staff

elegant!
We were delighted with our stay at Westport Woods. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the common areas (e.g. reception, lounge, etc) were well-maintained and stylish. Breakfast involved several fruit, bread, and yogurt options, plus a made-to-order hot meal too. It is an elegant business hotel, with very friendly staff.

DISAPPOINTING
We checked in @5pm there was no key given for door or card for electricity. Worker sent to open door put into room with no electricity when i ? mumbled reply was problem with rooms.This was 5pm check in is 4pm.Went back to reception i was so disappointed eventually given key and card for room.We got to spend 20 mins in leisure area due to front desk f... up.which closes at 6pm Sat eve.Overall very disappointing stay and service.

Excellent food . hotel was lovely... Only complaint would be as we wanted a hotel with a swimming pool.. at the time well with to the pool was told the heat pump was broken but fixed but the water was freezing and need 24 hrs to heat up .. came down the next day to find its the same situation.. .. could only have used the jacuzzi.. so was left disappointed... Depending how long it's been broken if they are telling new guests the same thing.. I would have had a second thought at booking .. even asked about having a spa treatments as they have advised to find even that's closed .. would need to update advertisment to let guest know and even on the hotels bookings so guests would know before choosing to book.

The servers in the restaurant were awful. Bar staff rude, which is a shame because the hotel itself is lovely

The hotel was generally clean and it was warm. The bedroom seemed tired but had a great powerful shower ! Food wise breakfast and the evening offering in the restaurant were very good. Its just some areas of the hotel felt tired and could do with a freshening up, the restaurant seems to have been refurbished lately and has a really nice bright and airy feel to it. Overall not to bad i would stay again.

Great service and an enjoyable one-night stay
I've stayed at the Westport Woods a few times in the past but not for a couple of years at least. On this occasion, it was the service that left a lasting impression. From the staff at the front desk to the servers in the bar and at breakfast, everyone was helpful, engaging and extremely pleasant. The food was excellent, and the cooked-to-order breakfast was a step above the usual buffet. The staff at breakfast were just brilliant.

Not a 4 star or suitable for business trip
Hotel staff were friendly, but hotel is totally unsuitable for business. Wifi is poor with an inconsistent connection, but more frustrating was no phone reception in building so unable to tether which was quite frustrating. Decor is quite old but clean. Rooms were v noisy. Hotel may be suitable for family vacation as they have a kids club and within walking distance to Westport. But it certainly is not at 4 star standard as advertised.
