The Kamergersky Hotel is located on a popular pedestrian street, so it isn't directly accessible by car, but the central location is amazing, directly across the street from the Moscow Art Theater, and five minutes away from the Bolshoi Theater, as well as the Operetta, Young and Maly Theaters, and within walking distance of the Stanislavsky. Turn the corner in the opposite direction and you'll see the entrance to Red Square. It's a smaller, cozy hotel, with no lift, pool or restaurant. The last is not a problem since it's on a street with about 20 different eateries: American fast food, cafes and restaurants, including Italian, Georgian and Japanese, and it's also next door to a 24-hour mini market. The hotel is located near the intersection of three subway lines, and close to many shops. The rooms are cozy and warm, with nice beds, and the bathrooms have smallish showers but plentiful accessories, including dental and shaving supplies. The staff is friendly and helpful, especially in arranging airport taxis from what is not a car-friendly location. All at a very reasonable price.
