The apartment is quiet but closed to main st. Very convenient to ski lifts, coaching, shops and restaurants. The room is very tidy and spacious. The highlight is lying on a hot-water bathtub with epsom salt, looking out the magnificent snowing scene and having a glass of red wine aftering skiing! Free transport is a great service since the drivers always give us useful tips with a big smile. Will definitely come back next year!

Amazing amazing stay!
Amazing! The walk down to the apartment was a bit slippery, but it was centrally located not just to the slopes but to restaurants and shops as well. The bus to hanazono slopes can be taken from in front of the Vale apartments, which is just a short 5 min walk away. There's a code you have to enter before gaining access to the building, and there is no reception in the building. Ski Japan manages the building so they provide pick up services from the hirafu welcome center, and also offer free transportation to slopes within hirafu incase you don't feel up for the walk. Apartment is cleaned every 2 days. Provides soap, shampoo, towels and hair dryer. There's a washer but No clothes dryer in the apartment but they do provide you a rack for your clothes to hang dry which usually dries overnight! On clear days, we got treated to a view of Mt Yotei which was amazing - we stayed in unit #1 on the ground floor. The apartment itself was incredibly spacious, with everyone oohing and aahing over the space, the decor etc. Kitchen wasn't as well stocked as I'd have liked though. The master bedroom was lovely, but the second bedroom was a bit cramped especially the toilet. The toilet door wasn't the kind that would stay open, so we felt pretty stuffed up especially since the heated towel rack was turned on in the small tiny space. Overall, a really great space. Good value for money. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Enjoyable stay at Shikaku
Fairly good location, close to restaurants, convenient shop and abt 5-7mins walk to the family ski lift. Modern apartment that is reasonably priced. Will be back again.

Convenient and Quality
The best thing about this apartment was the service we got from Ski Japan. I was hesitant to book as the website said recption closed at 5pm but I contacted them and they arranged to collect us from the resort liner drop off point at mid-night. We also got a return drop off for journey home. It wasnt far but with cases in the snow it was really helpful. They also prebooked ski passes for us amd can help with transfers. The studio apartment was very nice, with a well equipped kitchenette (we didn't use, too many good alternatives). The bathroom was modern and clean, with a deep bath. Bathroom in middle of building meant ventilation wasn't perfect, slight mildew smell, but it was clean. It had a large, comfie bed. Room was a little warm and we couldnt work out how to adjust, but we could have contacted Ski Japan if we were bothered. Their office was just around the corner. There is ample storage for ski wear, and appropriate flooring in entrance do you don't slip. The nearest chair lift is less than 5min walk, about 150m. Right in the centre of Hirafu with a wide choice of restaurants and bars. Local food was really great. Apartment was pricey, but this is Ski season in Niseko, and it seemed in line with other properties of similar quality.

Great summer retreat but could use an AC..
Great vacation apartment - nice design, spacious, modern and comfy. Good internet connection. One minus is that there's no AC (not a problem when you come in winter for skiing), a bit less fun when it's >30 degrees and really humid outside..
