"lovely place ,car parking very limited outside main car park close but shared , rooms airy and well equipped ,old sash windows one rattled in wind other sash broken could not open , bathroom very clean and tidy ,. glass bottles crashing into waste bin outside window at 8.15 room 10 apart from that would recommend ."

"Really enjoyed our stay at the Bedford Hotel, we stayed in the past and liked its old world charm, so decided to return, rooms are tastefully decorated, only one little gripe, if you book through Hotels.com you have to pay £8 to park but if you book direct with the hotel its waived. "

"Some years ago after a few days in Cairo to visit the pyramids etc., we went on to Alexandria and stayed in a hotel, with all its spender that probably dated back to the old empire days. Entering the room we had at The Eagle House Hotel, although smaller and not as grand, was a reminder of our stay in Alexandria. There was also a bar at the Eagle, that does very good meals in the evenings to save having to go out again to find somewhere to eat. The bar also had real ale. Very good breakfast in the morning There is also a Castle, literally just up the road, to visit. "
