Okrug Gornji lies in a bay on the western part of the island, which protects the area from the winds and the waves the other parts of the island are exposed to, which is why Okrug Gornji makes a perfect harbour and a great place to go for a swim – the sea always seems to be a bit more warmer than on the other parts of the island. It is not a coincidence that the most popular beach in Trogir riviera – also known as “Copacabana” – is located precisely in Okrug Gornji.
