Honestly, you can tell they’ve updated and remodeled the inside, but it was way too noisy. It might’ve been the construction crew that woke up early and started banging stuff. Our TV was really static it hardly got any channels. The worst thing was the blanket. It was covered in two big red Spots look like blood. That wasn’t even the worst part. The worst part was that the room smelled so bad like if something was moldy or rotten or there was some kind of dead animal in there. They ask you for a cash deposit, which is kind of inconvenient. it also looks like people permanently live there and we honestly didn’t feel safe. I have to say the front desk guy was pretty nice but I don’t think we would stay here again.

There was no water pressure in the shower. No room service was out at universal studios for 2 days in a row never came to clean the room take trash or bring fresh towels.

We have a reputable pest control service that services our location once a week or with request. We remember your stay with us and at no point was anything mentioned or found, so again we apologize this is not our norm. Yes we are under construction, the noise you were unfortunate to hear was not of our construction but a maintenance emergency fix. We do not start our construction until after 9 am, and we do not have them working on holiday weekends. We hope you are willing to give us another chance and allow us to show you how great of a stay you're meant to have.

Thank you for leaving a review. Our establishment is almost to our final faze of remodeling, which would be the outside. We felt it would be best to provide newly remodeled rooms before we made the outside match the inside. The room you occupied was recently opened in March of 2022, having remodeled from bare beams to what you stayed in. its disheartening to hear you thought the room was dated, as we continue to upgrade our rooms with newest hospitality fashions.

They said no smoking anywhere on property or 10 feet away. At check in door people smoking ritght there nothing said. Cleaning lady came in office with smoke still coming from her mouth. There was small bugs in room, also A/C unit started smelling like burning fure had to turn off. Not somewhere to stay if you want to feel comfortable or safe

We are sorry to hear about your stay with us, as this is a first time to hear these dislikes. The hotel is 100% non-smoking, that means smoking is not permitted within 10 feet of the building, walkways, sidewalk, stairwells, or pool deck. All guests are welcomed under the poticas to smoke and stay out of the weather elements. We are proud of our newly renovated rooms, the room you occupied has been made available less than 6 months ago. The rooms a/c was purchased in December 2021. There has been no reports of our a/c units having a smell, but we will look into what you're reporting, as a smell in a brand new a/c is concerning. Our hotel uses a reputable pest control service Truly Nolen, they service our hotel once a week, and upon request from sightings. Although, nothing has been reported prior to your stay or after, we will make sure the room is made a priority. We provide clean comfortable rooms at a reasonable rate, and have yet to have any issues about safety. It would be a disservice to label us as unsafe, or to say the 2.6 million we've put into the property doesn't provide a comfortable room at the rate we offer.

Very clean room but why I have to give a cash deposit when I am paying with a credit card , $2.50 ATM fee and $6.00 bank fee , i am sure I'm not the only one complaining.

Thank you for taking the time for writing the review. Yes you are correct you're not the first one to address your dislike for the cash deposit, but I was the best option we could provide. When guests submitted their credit card for deposits their funds were held for 7-10 days, and with soem companies even longer. By changing our policy from credit cards to cash it allows the guests to receive their money immediately upon check out, no holds, or discrepancies. We had the ATM placed in our lobby to help guests, but we are always willing to provide other locations that would accommedate their banking. we hope this doesn't deter you from staying with us again should you be in the area.

We are sorry to read such a review. We are very familiar with your reservation and can only deem this as defamation and libel. You stayed at our property and snuck a pet into our newly renovated rooms using our white bedding to attempt to conceal, you lost the deposit as per our registration states would happen. The room had tuffs of animal fur, pet food and paw prints on our white bedding. When you were informed you lost the deposit for violating the registration you made open threats of retaliation, all on camera. At no point were any form of law enforcement on our property, and our rooms are newly renovated putting 2.6 million into these rooms. "Rat traps" we use a reputable pest control company Truly Nolen, and anyone can see their company logo is a mouse. Again all fabrications in hope to defame us for keeping your deposit, for YOUR error. You knew you were in the wrong, otherwise you wouldn't have used our comforter to attempt to hide the furry animal while walking past our camera system. Most know bad reviews are a form of retaliation, because we no longer live in the life of "the customer is always right."

Checkin procedure was unique. Desk attendant wasn't the friendliest, and had a hard a hart time gettng the keycard machine to work. Fine print online says that you MUST provide $125 cash deposit! Very weird since nowadays everything is electronic. Nobody carries that much cash! Outside of the facility is NOT attractive, but I was going for cheap price. The doorknob on my room was a bit loose and flimsy. But I must say the remodeled room inside was great. Everything was of the highest quality. Comfortable bed. Great bathroom. I hope they can update the outside of this facility to make it more attractive and pleasing to the eye. And update the checkin procedures and have debit/credit card deposit. Maybe friendlier checkin staff! Upon checkout, they physically go to the room to check to ensure to give back your $125 deposit! Very weird and antiquated. Morning staff was nice and friendly. I'd go back now that I know what to expect. But a very unique experience for a hotel!!

The stay was not well it had roaches in the refrigerator on site and it had a whole lot of different people coming on site and it was remodeling and it wasn't as clean as it should have been I was just dissatisfied with the whole stay.

We pride ourselves with providing a Clean, Comfortable product. Because we are located in Florida, and there are many common pests, we use a reputable pest control company. Our Renovations are from the top down, inside out and 2/3rds complete. I'm sorry to hear of your whole stay was dissatisfying.

We had a problem with our resort check in and were forced to find a one night accommodation. This was close and affordable. We were on the second floor in a newly renovated room. The motel is undergoing a complete overall, so there are lots of people in and out. And many storage boxes on the ground. Our room was quiet and clean. The check in was easy, but they do require $120.00 deposit in cash (there is an ATM in the lobby). Desk clerk in check in//out was professional and friendly. She returned our desposit in the same cash we gave her. When they finish the renovations I think this is going to be a perfectly decent place to stay for all rooms.

At first pulling up you think the worst, but the property was well kept.Tammy, I believe is the owner or Manager she is on top of keeping this place in great condition. Rooms where very clean and everything was practically brand new. I will definitely stay again.

We made reservations to stay here through hotels.com because the pictures where great and reviews. Well the pictures are all a LIE!!!! It is a disgusting hotel and hotels.com should really look into hotels they advertise and make sure it's legit. This place had prostitutes outside , hyperdermic needles all over the ground out front . We pulled up and never got outta the car we could see the nastiness from the car. With little kids this is not a place to stay. If you want a nightmare hotel this is it

This guest clearly has another agenda, posting alternative facts. This guest is upset that she booked a non refundable reservation and never showed up to the property or cancelled her reservation. 2 days later she requested a refund for a non refundable reservation and when it was denied she slanders the property. We recently opened our newly renovated rooms. We don't have Prostitutes and hypodermic needles on property. We are a Newly renovated family friendly hotel just minutes from Disney.

They require a $125 refundable deposit in cash. Who carries cash these days? So I had to go to 2 ATMS to get that costing me an extra $6 in ATM fees. The room was clean but the A/C didn’t work well. Thank goodness we had a fan with us. There was no remote control for the tv. The property is being renovated and the rooms updated so that was nice. The only rooms available were on the second floor. I have bad knees and the stairs are steep, so having to lug everything upstairs was a task. The pool area was nice. The price I paid for one night was way too expensive. This is the first not great review I’ve ever written. Would use again if I had to.

Worst hotel with angry and rude manager!
The first room they gave us the bed had not been clean and someone else’s food crumbs were still in it The next room they have us i killed 12 cockroaches! I have pictures of all 12! Someone entered my room with a key whil i was just out of the shower and when i told the front desk manager she called me a liar! There was a domestic disturbance both nights! All night long. I tried to find another hotel in my price range the first night but everything was booked! This was the the dirtiest, nastiest and most run down hotel i have ever been in. They are going through renovations but bare in mind the second room i stayed in was the newly renovated room! They just painted the walls and have the beds new covers! The door also didn’t fit the frame so any noise at all from outside you could hear amd there was lots of it!! AVOID this place at all costs!!! I tired to show the manager all my pictures, explain to her what our issues were but she pretty much called me a liar! No accountability!!!!!! Our towels also had tiny bugs all in them also!

Worth the Price
The room we were in was freshly remodeled, and a comfort to stay in. New paint, new bathroom, new carpet, new furniture, and everything in-between made this a more pleasant experience than was I was expecting. The staff was awesome, and very friendly with new towels, toiletries, making the bed, etc. daily. I will definitely return if I am able to get the same room again.

Pleasant surprise
I literally snatched the last hotel rooms available that night! Needed two rooms for a two night business trip. Didn’t expect much from a motel type accommodation, but was pleasantly surprised. The owners are very nice people and just renovated the entire second floor. My colleague and I got to stay in brand new rooms, which were very comfortable.

I booked a room at the Amber Inn on Expedia for my son. Shortly after booking (30min) , I saw that the hotel required a large cash deposit upon check in. I called the hotel to see if I could charge this fee on my credit card as my son does not have cash and they refused. I tried to cancel my reservation and they would not refund me . I have never had a hotel require a cash deposit. They have my credit card in case of any damages. I thought this was unreasonable. I am very unhappy.

I'm sorry to hear your disappointed with our policies, We post the $125 CASH Security Deposit in multiple locations, prior to booking as well as after booking. Most guests do not care for their money being tied up 3-30 days while traveling. We collect it in cash and we return it in cash eliminating any inconvenience to our traveling guests. Also utilizing a credit card there are additional merchant fees associated with charging and returning credit cards. Again Im sorry to hear your very unhappy.

Worst place ever. Didnt even stay and they refused to refund my $235 worst experience ever.The Manager was very rude,disrespectful and nasty.The place was a mess,roof was falling apart,doors rusted and dirty,I just went to the room for a minute to check it out and saw a cockroach, when try to explained to manager about my son's asthma and how can the poor conditions on the room and hotel can affect him,she was very rude and told me that her kids stays there with no problem and walk away... Never again

This property is not more than a cheap motel with horrible service and worst appearance. They asked for a cash deposit but the ATM didn’t work. After we checked out employee had to inspect the room before giving us the deposit back. Room didn’t even had a shower curtain. Hotel is old, outdated and just not worth more than $40 a night.

The staff was great. I’m not taking away anything from the outside of the property because they are currently remodeling. Overall the room was great. I can’t wait to see how the whole property turns out when the remodel is finished.

Smelly, bugs, lights not working, no secure wifi, unclean sheets. They also took only cash deposit which I didn’t have. Had to pay 3. Dollars extra for ATM withdrawal. I would not recommend anybody to this hotel.

Staff was extremely friendly. Only two things I didn’t like were a security deposit of $125 in cash was needed before check in. The other was the room smelled very humid.
