This is a charming hotel located in a fantastic location for seeing the city. My husband and I walked to nearly every one of the main Paris attractions from this location, including the Conciergerie, Catacombs, Eiffel Tower, and Palais Garnier. On the occasions we chose to take the metro, the Rue du Bac station was very close by. The neighborhood is lovely, with plenty of stores and cafes to suit almost any need.
Breakfast is wonderful, and there is a decent little room service menu as well.
Perhaps the best part of our stay was the staff, however. My French is fairly rusty after years of not speaking it post-college. Everyone on staff speaks English, so we never felt completely lost trying to muddle through things. Jean-Baptiste was especially wonderful. He always had a huge, contagious smile, and we were glad to see him at the desk whenever he was there.
I would happily return to this hotel if I am ever lucky enough to go back to Paris.
