The accommodation was rather expensive for a property that is dated. The pool area was disgusting. The floor of the pool had brown scum and the water was turning green. The ventilation is not working and you can tell it hasn’t been for sometime. There is mold on the walls and the ceiling has had a significant leak. We stayed here with 20 other people and majority of us were bothered with the accommodation. I lifted the mattress of the beds in the room (looking for bedbugs) and there was dirt and sand underneath one queen and then hair and other things under the other mattress. My in laws suite had a pair of underwear and socks in the dresser drawer that was from a previous customer and my brothers room had long hairs in the sink. This hotel is not well kept or clean! We had a late night and entering the hotel is accessible 24 hours without a locking entrance door. You don’t need a pass to enter the property and there is no one at reception monitoring who is coming in and out of the Super 8. So there for sure is room for a security breach. One of the desk people looked to be living on the main level and when they walked out of the room it was smoke filled with cigarette smoke. I would highly recommend to stay at the Best Western Plus as the pricing is the same for something 10000 better.

People leaving their full garbage bags in the hallway . Garbage cans overflowing in the breakfast area. Hadn’t been emptied from day before. Breakfast food on Christmas morning was not fresh. Bread bags left open- rock hard bagels- pastries left uncovered m, etc. granted it was Christmas- but please look after your paying guests. We will not be back and we have family in the area.

The front desk staff was very friendly, sadly we couldn’t get an early check in (we arrived earlier than expected and it wasn’t requested) but the nice staff at the front desk provided us with some tips of where to go to check out the sites. The rooms are run of the mill, a place to sleep nothing fancy. Beds were comfortable enough not too hard not too soft, room temperature was great and the room was clean.

The only real beef I have is that on the hottest days of the summer (37-39C) they shut the swimming pool down at 3:00 but would not allow us to register before that same 3:00PM even when we were there at 12:30PM. If we had known about the planned shut down we might have chosen differently. Possibly because of the heat, the person at the desk was not friendly at all especially when she saw that we had booked through "Expedia.com". We didn't, we booked through you, I though.

Great stay. Pool and hot tub were well maintained, a good size and a nice warm temperature. Staff were always helpful and courteous. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Close to shopping. Have stayed there before and it is always well run and clean. A real treat

Boil water advisory was a surprise
upon arriving was notified of a boil water advisory. No ice and no hot water for tea in the morning however there was coffee which was connected to the same water supply. TV in our room was locked in some kind of postage stamp setting with a 6 inch black border around the entire screen. Maintenance looked at the unit but gave up trying to fix it. Reception was pleasant but could not resolve either issue.

Close to friends home and local beach.
Nice quiet hotel just outside of Morden, on the road to the local lake and right close to a nice golf course, even a drive in theater with in a quarter mile.. Parking, and check in was a breeze. Room was clean. Breakfast was modest but adequate. I would stay here again.

It was a weekend stay.
The breakfasts were very tasty and a plentiful. The building itself is not very sound proof. We heard every movement made above us during the night.

since expedia never bothered to actually reserve our hotel room we cannot comment on the stay. I can however comment as to the incredible helpfulness of the manager in finding us a hotel room in a neighbouring town. expedia sucks, no reservation, no response to several emails, and persistent requests to rate a hotel they didn't bother to book us in.

This hotel was OK, but not great.
The towels were rather thin, the bed was OK but not to die for. Did not notice that there was WiFi. Hotel lobby was just barely Ok. Breakfast was Ok, real cutlery would have bee nice. Overall, qute acceptable, but if there was a better quality place nearby, would choose someplace else next time.
