Nice hotel and pleasant staff. Only issue we had was there was no coffee or tea facilities in the 2 rooms we booked

We had deluxe rooms and they were fantastic, roomy and very comfortable (and huge!) beds but one of the rooms had a bath and the other didn't - so please check if you want one! As some other reviews have said, having to pre-order breakfast the night before and booking a time is a bit annoying, especially as breakfast then came out 20mins after the time we requested it anyway. Not a huge issue, but would have been better without this system in my opinion. Sadly we didn't get to try the restaurant as it shut quite early.

Comfortable and welcoming
Welcoming and comfortable. Feels like its still slightly.recovering post Covid, with request to pre-order breakfast the night before, early closure of the bar and no room cleaning unless requested. Not huge issues but not quite the 4 star experience. Beer garden is lovely.

Thank you for your nice review. Breakfast pre-order for those requiring it is a permanent feature on the hotel. Many hotels have moved to room servicing on request post covid and the bar only closes if no one is there!

Had a lovely stay and staff were very friendly. I don’t have a problem with ordering breakfast the night before but I would’ve liked a small buffet table to help myself to some yoghurt and fruit coffee etc Otherwise all good.

Thank you for your review.The room in which you stayed has recently been redecorated and a new bathroom installed in January 2023 so we are unsure about it being 'quite dated'.We do not advertise that we have mini bars in the room, the water from the taps is more than adequate to drink and there are also tea and coffee making facilities in your room.

Absolutely loved our stay, room was extra extra large was like staying in an apartment rather than a hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel. Only 1 sour point would be either add more pillows to the beds or try thicker pillows other than that we had a wonderful stay.

Staff was so friendly! Was in a lovey area, could walk to restaurants and had easy parking right on site. Our room was very clean at check-in and breakfast was very good. We also enjoyed the bar which was well stocked with whiskies. Wonderful stay all around!

Excellent hôtel, very friendly staff. Room beautifully decorated. Bathroom very modern, really nice. Great touches with iron, fan etc. Very nice coffee. Would have preferred semi skimmed milk and not full cream but that’s personal taste. Near to a beautiful park. All in all a very pleasant experience.

Hotel was clean and room was pleasant with large en suite walk in shower There was no hot water so had to make do with tepid shower and the room was too hot at night despite opening both windows, so could gave done with a fan/air con We had an evening meal whi h was extremely disappointing, given the rave reviews My husbabd ordered a beef burger,medium rare, but it came well cooked. Despite complaining there was no offer to exchange or compensate in any wY. Ee were told they werent alliwed to cook it med rare as afainst Scottish law!! But we werent advised if that on ordering!

They held our luggage the next day after we had checked out to go further exploring & picked up before we hopped on the train. Lovely property too! Great location to walk into town! Thank you for your review. Every room has a standing lamp and bedside lamps on the wall with an attachment for a reading lamp that can be switched on/off by the switches that are on them.
