Apartment beachfront in Mil Palmeras 50 meters to playa, 2 th floor with 2 elevators, perfect for families, near bars, restaurants, supermarket and smooth beach front with wonderful views. Also outstanding pool outside house. Open until the 15th of September. "Green street" with restaurants and for walking. Place for small children to play and see other families. The apartment has one bedroom with two single beds and one living room with a sofa bed for two persons. Full kitchen (americano) (oven, fridge, refrigerator, dishwasher. Water boiler) At the balcony there we often have our meals you view the bay of Cabo Roig. Free Wi-Fi. Several golf courses nearby. 3 outdoor tennis courts within walking distance. 2 bar restaurants near the beach just outside the apartment. The playa is slowly getting deeper. Mil Palmeras is a slightly older place. There is an apartment hotel. Otherwise houses and apartments are owned by private individuals and a large part are Spaniards. The beach runs parallel to the entire area. During the summer months there are a number of beach bars. The beach has lifeguards during the summer. In recent years, Mil Palmeras beach has managed to obtain the EU flag, which means that the standard is good, the water is clean and the beach is cleaned almost every night. There are grocery stores, banks, pharmacies, market and a dozen restaurants within walking distance. The main town is called Pilar de la Horadada, a cute, Spanish, smaller town that can be reached by local bus. About 5-10 minutes by car there are four golf courses. Closest is the newly built Lo Romero course. Also nearby are Las Ramblas and Campoamor, just a mile away. Villamartin is the fourth course located about 10 minutes from the townhouse. Another dozen lanes are within an hour's drive. One of the most beautiful courses is La Finca, it is just over 30 minutes away by car. It is close to the lagoon Mar Menor with health spa in natural salt pools. Market in San Pedro de Pinatar on Mondays and in Mil Palmeras on Tuesdays. There is a water park in Torrevieja. Two very nice Spanish older cities to visit, Cartagena and Murcia. Wineries and booths just over an hour drive from Mil Palmeras to places like Yecla and Jumilla, very beautiful areas. Bathed in hot springs during the winter season in Archena and Fortuna and so much more .. It is a pleasant climate for most of the year. About 320 days of sunshine per year and long periods without any rain to speak of. Pilar de la Horadada is one of the least rainy areas in Spain, with less than 300 mm / year. The coldest month is January, which can be compared to May in Sweden and the Stockholm area. October is warmer than July in Stockholm and November is almost as warm as June is at home. Our apartments are located in the south and this means that we can have breakfast and lunch outside every day for the whole year. We recommend a maximum of three people in the apartment however there are bed seats for four.
Guest access
Now we have changed internet provider June 2015. At the moment you also assess internet at the beach. There is also a huge roof terrace.
Socializing with guests
We have a person in the area if you have any problem with the apartment. Now we have changed to a new internet provider and we think it will be more reliable. If you are interested in having internet at the beach please tell me. At the cafe just close to us at the beach have free wifi and also the restaurant at the beach 200 m from the house.
Neighborhood, overview
This very close living to the beachfront. The beach is very nice in size.
Get around
It is possible to take bus from airport to Torrevieja and from there to take bus to our area. Mil Palmeras. There are also one bus going into the area.

Disappointed
We stayed here for 9 nights in April. The beds were uncomfortable, sheets and pillows were not upto standard. There were lots of cupboards built into the apartment which restricted certain areas. Wi-fi was good as was the television. There was ample hot water for showers etc. We missed there not being a small table and chairs for dining. Obviously in summer you would tend to eat on the balcony but this wasn't possible due to the changing weather in April. There was no toaster in the apartment and we couldn't get the oven/grill to work. We appreciate this is a holiday apartment for the owners but we would not stay here again.

Unacceptable with potentially dangerous electrics in the bathroom.
It was a farce to obtain the keys. The address was unclear . The map was out by about a kilometre. The keys were with the cleaner and we didn't know her address. The apartment was very shabby. I'd booked for 4 nights and only stayed 1. In my opinion the electrics in the bathroom were dangerous. It does not deserve any stars.
