The location was fantastic, central and walking distance from the bus stop. The family and reception staff were all very friendly and lovely people, and gave me good instructions on how to reach them. The rooftop terrace bar was a delightful place to rest and enjoy a light meal or an evening drink before dinner and I used it a lot when I needed a rest day. The breakfast was fantastic with a delicious range of cakes to supplement cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit, ham, cheese and eggs as well as an array of toast, pastries and cookies and the girls remembered that I like cold milk in my English breakfast tea, and I like it at the end of my breakfast. Full marks for attention to detail. My room was spacious and light, again as I had requested and it had a lovely modern bathroom with the biggest shower recess that I have had in any Italian room yet. The only downside was the bed as it was very hard and not good for my back. But this is a problem I have had with most Italian beds. Most beds I have struck have been too hard and Italy just does not seem to know about mattress toppers to put on top of the mattress to give a softer feel. But I would not have changed my hotel as everything else was wonderful.
