This property would be best for people that partake in the night life after midnight, but not for the type that want to sleep early. The night clubs are close enough to be heard. There is a community kitchen for people that wish to save money and make their own meals. But the toilets and showers are also communal. For me, I'm not the type that cooks while I travel; and in prefer a private shower that stays as clean as I keep it, myself. I would have given this property five stars for 25USD per night.

My great stay at the Alexandross Hostel BnB
The Alexandross Hostel BnB was a huge part of my great vacation in Peurto Vallarta! I had booked my holiday at the last minute. I found the Alexandross as part of a combination flight and motel deal. To sum things up. Communication: Some staff speaks moderate English but the owner is almost always around and he speaks perfect English and he especially went out of his way to be kind and helpful. I didn't know there were stairs to get to each floor. The first floor has the reception level and some of their rooms. I use canes so stairs can be hard for me. I arrived late so there wasn't much they could do aside from help me as best they could... The first room I had was on the top floor. In the morning as soon as they saw I used canes they went out of their way to find me a room on the the first level. They continuely answered each question I had about the area, where stores were or best places to get cabs etc. Both the rooms I had were simple but very clean. The shower and bathrooms are shared with other rooms. But there are several so one was always available. They were kept very clean as well. It is not a 5 star hotel, its a BnB hostel. If you want a clean simple room and a place to stay with great staff this is a great choice!

Close to everything in the Romantic Zone
Not for the feint of heart. The long 38 stair climb is daunting with luggage. Be sure to note that not all roomss have a private bathroom. The Hostel is next door to a male strip club that plays heavy beat music until 3 AM. There are no phones in the rooms . Though there are no smoking signs, some guests ignore these. Complaints can be made about interior noise and smoking only the next day. Though a 'breakfast ' is provided, it was poor quality at best. The kitchen is on the third floor and would make for a better morning venue, and fresher morning breakfast could be served. For the price I would check around. Good place for young clubbers.

Le personnel est aimable et souriant pour la plupart. Je pense que j'ai eu une meilleure chambre que ce que j'avais réservé. Le déjeuner est de base mais apprécié (fruits, œufs brouillés, jus, café). Il y avait de l'eau chaude dans la douche. J'avais une chambre au fond, donc moins de bruit. Le samedi soir j'ai quand même entendu les bars et dormi avec des bouchons.
