"These guesthouses were so lovely and a good launching point for various day trips. We went as far as the big glacier to the south east and our trip ended last night with the northern lights from our guesthouse windows. It was convenient to jave the small kitchen for breakfast and snacks for the kids. "

"I have stayed here twice now over 2 years and both times it was amazing. We were greated with a smile and a piece of cake. Shown to our room, not just the usual go here then there from reception. All the furnishings are like new and there is everything you could possible need for the kitchen including salt, pepper oil and a great selection of herbs and spices and some sauces. There is milk portions in the fridge for the tea, coffee and hot chocolate powder provided. The beds are super comfy bathroom is spotlesly clean with a great shower. The perfect place to stay."

"Cute hotel at the end of a private drive. We had room 201 and shared with friends of ours. The room was very tidy and spacious, with a lovely balcony with great views. Yes, the bathroom smelled like sulfur but it's common in Iceland with hot water. The common area was very spacious and was a great place to hang out. We loved the breakfast served in the morning, which was just enough fuel for the start of the day. Unlimited access to coffee and cookies was also a delight throughout our stay. We enjoyed the hot tub outside, but wished it were a tad bit warmer. Overall, this was our favorite hotel that we stayed at in Iceland. It's private, quiet, has an easy check-in process, nice breakfast, and is very spacious."

"A wonderful one night stay in a very quiet location. Wide expanse of flat land around and amazing views of the snowy mountains in the distance. Only 12 rooms in the building so not noisy. Lovely room and very comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really lovely with a plentiful choice of cold buffet, cereals, yogurt, bread/toast and spreads. The hot buffet was had bacon beans and scrambled egg. To top it off there were waffles too. With maple syrup and bacon they were delicious. "

"We love the walk to the blacksand beach (20 mins anyway from the hotel). Everything was so pretty and peaceful! The food at the hotel restaurant was okay. We ordered the lamb, wasn’t the best we had compared with all other Icelandic restaurants."
