Very warm and nice 60 sqm 2 bedroom apartment, for 4 to 6 persons + child. 1 Queen size and 2 single beds, and brand new sleepingsofa in the livingroom + bigger TV 37"" The whole apt is newly renovated and includes all the equipment needed to make you feel at your home. The apt has a high speed internet, WC paper bed linen and towels are included. The hole apartment is baby safe and comes with travel bed, high baby chair. The apartment ís on the ground floor, with beautiful garden, with barbecue, table and chairs,for you to enjoy.

Comfortable property, centrally located
Comfortable, warm property, well maintained, scrupulously clean and well equipped. The apartment was centrally located - within 5 to 10 minutes walk from the City Centre. We hired a car to explore the countryside and we were able to park close to the apartment. There is a local shop within 20 metres for basic requirements and a Bonus supermarket near the Harbour. Great location. Warm and cozy.
Very good location and easy walk to most of Central Reykjavík. There were four of us and plenty of room for our needs. The apartment was clean and had everything we expected. Helga was very accommodating and returned emails promptly. Would definitely recommend this place,

Bright and Cozy! Perfect location!
Helga's apartment was wonderful! It is located within walking distance to downtown and the waterfront--it was very easy to get around. We rented a car and had no problem finding parking on the street in front of the building. The neighbourhood is safe and the apartment is clean and includes all amenities. We are 4 women and had plenty of room! Helga was wonderful to deal with--we highly recommend staying here!

Helga’s place was comfortable and clean, the perfect size for the three of us.
I would suggest giving the full address as I had to scroll through pictures to find clues as to which door led to the apartment. Also the BSI bus station is not the closest and not walkable with any type of roller luggage in the winter. The number 1 bus stop was closer and yet just as impassable with luggage due to snow on the sidewalks. Once settled into the apartment it was a doable walk to the old town even with snow on the sidewalks. Thanks for a comfortable stay in your cozy warm apartment!

great location for a visit to iceland
We would like to thank the Skjoldals for their apartment. The place is exactly as advertised in the ad. Nice and clean, and fully equipped. The apartment is in a nice old residential area and although parking is available on the street, finding a space could be challenging. This apartment fit our travelling style wonderfully. We like to pack light for trips and really appreciate the availability of the washing machine to do a bit of laundry. We like to attempt to integrate a little into the local population if possible and that is often missed when staying in hotels. Helga was a great host, and answered all our questions. There is a small shop a few hundred feet up the street, (to the west) that has a handy but limited selection of groceries and a very nice proprietor. We found the Icelandic people to be friendly as a group, with amazing English speaking skills. The ‘Iceland street food’ shop just around the corner from the city hall, had some of the best prices we could find and a pleasent and entertaining host. We bought almost all of our food in the grocery stores. As a suggestion before your trip visit a sporting goods store and buy some dehydrated food stuffs, like ‘Wise Company’ and pack them in your luggage. If you have never tried them they are very good. And will take the sting out of the food costs in Iceland. We did not get a rental car on this trip. We are in our middle 50s and had no trouble walking all of the attractions in the old town area, the harbor, the shopping streets, and to the various supermarkets. This is a great apartment for visiting Reykjavik!!! thanks Helga! As described in the ad, the apartment is in a great location, in old town. It is only few minutes’ walk to city hall. The city hall contains a travel/visitors center and tickets can be purchased there for most tours, local buses, etc. It is also a pick up drop off location for most if not all tours and tour companies. We used public transportation (buses) for several trips and had no problems. We also took several tours and trips that used the city hall as a pickup point. We strolled to the harbor for whale watching and a fishing trip. We were late in the whale season so the only animals spotted were pods of porpoises, the fishing trip was excellent wife caught 3 cod, I caught 2. The crew cleaned and grilled the catch and the feast was great, best tourist fishing trip ever!

A perfect starting point for our first vacation in Iceland
This place felt like home away from home as soon as we set our foot in :) It was clean, well stocked and conveniently located - we did not have to use a car for 2 days spent in Reykjavik and explored it on foot. There is a bakery and supermarket Bonus walking distance. Close to town center and a short ride from the Keflavik airport. Helga was a pleasure to deal with from the very beginning through the whole process of answering questions, booking and check in/out. She sent an e-mail that we could check in early and that worked out very well after an overnight flight - we were able to take a nap and start our vacation refreshed. The flat has everything your need, very warm and cozy and the beds are super comfy. She replied promptly to all my e-mails. Was very accommodating and friendly. It was nice to get back to this place after a long day of sightseeing to relax and prepare for the next day. It was good size for our group of 5: parents and 3 kids: 19, 16 and 10. It is well appointed and tastefully decorated. And clean, which is most important when you travel. Thank you, Helga, for sharing this property with our family - we felt welcome and well received. I hope we come back and stay with you again :)
