This place was great for my husband and I. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Location is excellent! There's 3 bus stops right around the corner along with restaurants and shopping. Short walk to the city center and grocery store. The pond across the street is lovely too. Lots of ducks and swans The only issue I had was with the keypad for the apartment. Every time I would type the code in it wouldn't work half the time and it even locked us out of the apartment and set off an alarm.But it reset itself after a couple of minutes. I was not able to get ahold of anyone with the number because I couldn't make a call on my cellphone. There are phones in the rooms but since I couldn't get into the room it didn’t do us any good. I would recommend key cards instead if a pin. Overall it was a great stay. I especially loved the heated floor and towel rack in the bathroom.

I am glad you enjoyed your stay in spite of your problems with the electronic locks.There are instructions above the keypad explaining you need to touch it to acitvate it before entering the code. If you start entering the code before acivating the keypad, it only reiceives 4 numbers instead of 4We have a 24 hour phone service and there is a courtesy phone in the main foyerI am sorry your cellphone was not workingYou can buy an Icelandic sim card for your phone at the airport which makes life much easier

The aparrment was very comfortable and in an excellent location. It is quiet yet easily walkable to the grocery store, shopping and restaurants, and close to a bus stop. Check in was easy with clear instructions and responses to email were very quick. Highly recommend.

Ultra practical option with everything you might need, except the shampoo and soap were like water. 9/10 overall for the price compared to what else is available. The place is cozy and spacious for 1 person. 2 people would comfortably fit and even stay for a longer duration due to the practicality of the property. The location is prime. 8 min drive to Grotta Lighthouse (northen lights viewing), and a vast majority of Reykjavik's top attractions within a 15 min walk.

Excellent stay
Stayed in apartment 62 of Castle House Luxury Apartments. The code given in the email was for the reception building, and it’s not a key they leave, it’s a key code. I didn’t know this, so I called their number provided and I was supported to enter the apartment very quickly. Apartment is of good size. Kitchenette is small, but as expected and very pleased to see a decent sized fridge. To save money, we cooked a few meals, and we had everything we needed utensil wise. Shower was lovely, room was lovely and warm, if anything, I had to turn the radiator down despite it being freezing temperatures outside. Bed was comfy and got a full night sleep each night. Apartment was spotless and so centrally located, I couldn’t have asked for anything better. I will be recommending this accommodation to friends and family who plan to visit Iceland in the future.

Close to everything
This was perfect for a few nights. The small kitchen was much more furnished than I imagined, so making meals to save a little money was easy! Everything was close and walkable. Parking was easy, but the city meter system is a little confusing. The only issue we had, was we did not receive the email we should have that would’ve given us the code to get in. However, the woman we spoke to on the phone was very helpful and got us in quickly!

Great quiet location and walkable to dining , bus, and most attractions. Very clean. Comfy bed and quality linen and towels.If you are looking for a kitchen , this is perfect. It is a half basement but windows fare size.

I'm sorry to hear that your experience wasn't perfect due to the room being in a half basement. Staying in a basement-level room can have its advantages and disadvantages. On the positive side, these rooms are often cooler and quieter, which can be preferable for some guests. However, they may also lack natural light and views, which can be less appealing.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Castle Luxury Apts. The apartment had everything we needed and was extremely clean. We were able to cook a few simple meals in the kitchen which had everything we needed to prepare a meal, serve it and clean our dishes with a small dish washer. The bed was very comfy and the living area was comfortable to sit and watch tv after a long day. The location is fantastic and close to all the local attractions, the harbor, main shopping area, a large grocery store, tons of coffee shops and restaurants. It’s not on a Main Street which keeps this apt area very quiet yet close to everything. Parking was very easy and an ON charging station was a atoms throw away. The staff was very helpful and communicated with me via email in a timely and friendly manner. Easy check in and I loved being able to use a code to enter the apt and not carry a key around. I’d definitely stay again.

What more could you want?
Perfect location, right outside the pond with the main bus stop for airport & excursions. The host gave us all the information we needed before & during the stay. Property was spotless, had all the facilities needed & we felt very safe/secure. I would definitely recommend Castle House Apartments to anyone wanting to stay close to the centre & if we returned we would stay here again.

It’s in the heart of town and easily accessible to amenities as well as tour pickup point. However to note that there’s no lift and be prepared to haul ur luggages if u are assigned rooms on the 2nd or 3rd level.

There are 2 other levels with outside steps to the main floor and indoor steps to the 2nd floor. This is not a large building and there is no 3rd floorThere is no elevator but guests have not had any difficulty reaching their apartments

NO CODE, BIG Problem
We NEVER received a code to allow access to the lobby to get our keys. NO info from Hotels.com or the hotel showed how to get into the lobby to get the keys. Had to borrow a phone from a stranger to get in touch with the hotel. Unacceptable. Once inside, all went well, but the hassle of getting the keys was unacceptable. BE SURE YOU HAVE A PHONE THAT WORKS IN ICELAND.

Great location, comfortable stay in town!
The apartment was in an excellent location, very close to the things you want to walk to in Reykjavik, but also quiet at night for sleeping. We stayed in a studio, for two nights it was perfect. Well equipped, very comfortable sheets. The bathroom was small but functional. Street parking was pretty easy- one tip if you get a spot on the street in front of the apartment, is to pay for as much parking as you need or as the machine allows, as the first 2 hours are more expensive than those after. We were only there 2 days, but the meter did allow you to pay for more than a day.

Thank you for your review. When you have to listen to a loud fire alarm it cannot stop too soon. In this case it was turned off after 4 minutes. The sensors cannot differentiate between minor issues like people burning toast, and smoke from a rageing fire. The main thing is that our guests can be sure that they are protected and notified if there is danger.

Great location! Staff was very good about storing luggage after early arrival. TV Sat receiver combo remote situation a bit hard to figure out (so easy to push wrong buttons) We really enjoyed our stay!

The apartment exceeded our expectation in every aspect. The kitchens was very well equipped and all the amenities functioned well. The apartment was spacious enough for 2 persons with big luggage, and the décor was simple and modern. Our bed was comfortable, and the space was well cleaned and heated. The shower was hot, with good water pressure. Wifi was fast and free. We slept very well at night, as it was very quiet, and the black-out curtains worked great. In addition to all these positive points, the apartments are also very centrally located, and we were able to explore the city by just walking. For the price we had paid for the apartments, we are very satisfied, and have no qualms in recommending this property to others visiting the city.

Thank you for your review. We send all guests detailed information and images of the location. We are very easy to find. Parking information with gps co ordinates is avaiable on request. In short, parking is in the street. Metered during the day but free from 6 pm until 9 am and free on Sundays

Location is perfect! Very close to downtown and yet in a very quiet place. The apartment was clean and comfortable. Communication with management was easy. Check in/out seamless. They even had the room ready for me a bit early as requested. I would highly recommend!

Wonderful stay in Reykjavik!
I will recommend to everyone I know that they stay at the Castle House Luxury Apartments. Clean, central, quiet, spacious, with every possible thing you could need for a short stay. Well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, easy check-in, excellent location. The National Gallery is right next door, and it's next to a beautiful park & lake. Easy to walk to all major tourist destinations, close to the BSI bus terminal for excursions, and lots of great restaurants nearby.

Great vacation apartment in Reykjavik
Great location near city center, bus stops , restaurants , shops . Staff very responsive to requests for towels , sugar, help with TV in a foreign country. Rough time checking in . Key located in hallway behind door with combination . I misunderstood or did not receive email stating this. Europium minimal shower was initially daunting but overall great experience snd would come back
