Free parking by the marina was nice as it had easy access. Rooms were very clean, having a fridge was a bonus. Staff were very nice and friendly.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. It was quirky, and had everything you could want or need for you & your family. The room was very clean and needed for nothing. I would strongly suggest staying here. The breakfast was more than anyone could hope for.

I had a beautiful stay at this hotel. The room was charming, clean and cozy. Breakfast was nice as was the staff. The location couldn't have been better with access to the bus stop for tours, and right in front of the lovely harbor with nice food options. I will be staying again!

Excellent location, easy walk to many sights we were wanting to see. Right around the corner from a grocery store, as well as a food hall. Also walking distance (.25 miles) from the Lava Show location. The room was nice, and the kids loved the large bunk bed. Solid in house bar to unwind. The staff was excellent and very kind and helpful. My ONLY NEGATIVE for the facility is the shower. It had a rainhead which is AWESOME. The water pressure and the heat was AWESOME. However, it was a walk-in shower, with no border. So essentially the water just runs into the bathroom, and if you're not building your own towel/border it could run into the main room.

Nice hotel on the harbour. Conveniently located to shopping, tours, and bus stop. Hotel had a delightful restaurant for dinner. However the breakfast was a buffet for 30$ per person. With no ala cart menu. I understand that food is costly in Iceland but 30$ each morning is a bit out there. Over all 9/10, would recommend

The hotel is next to the old harbor making it a minute from whale watching trip excursions. It is close to the bus stop and walking distance to several other sites and museums. Highly recommend.

While the hotel was in a nice part of the city, the accommodations did not meet our needs. The customer service was not there, the room service was not good because our towels were not refreshed daily, the noise was awful - you could hear every footstep and door shutting, the thermostat did not work properly and the room was overly hot all night, the smell in the bathroom was strange and didn’t feel fresh. And worst of all the bedding was small and scratchy. This hotel was rated 4 stars online but I wouldn’t give it more than a 2.

Great location for restaurants and marina excursions. Staff friendly and helpful. Only complaint for our winter visit was no thermostat in the room and they keep them very warm at night. Rectified by opening windows but our room opened onto street level so a bit noisy.

Plenty of space and a clean / tidy hotel. Staff were always more than helpful. Location wise it is perfect for accessing town nice and close plus bus stop 15 for any tours is almost outside.

We stayed here for two nights and we had little sleep, the hotel itself was very very warm and the heating was on outside the room, understandably with the weather in Iceland during winter but it was unbearably warm. The pipes in our room, despite us not having the heating on was literally knocking/tapping ALL night, the first night it woke us up and it wasn’t too bad it was like every so often the second night it happened all night! The beds are comfy, the rooms are a good size, the food in the restaurant downstairs is unbelievable, the restaurant is definately the saving grace from our trip, the variety of food is not massive but the food served is perfect! The cheesecake was a delight! Overall the stay was ok, but the noise from the pipes during the night really affected our sleep and I am not sure I would return for that reason. Hopefully something that can be fixed.

Happy stay at the Marina
This was a weekend stay. Really nice hotel in a good location. Staff were super friendly and efficient. Great bar and dining here too. Wait staff are attentive and friendly. Double room was quite small but adequate. We found a (mostly) rotten apple down by the radiator which suggests the housekeeping was not 100%. We binned this ! Otherwise, everything was fine. Would happily stay here again.

Traveling w two teens. We stayed in the room w the double bunk beds. Gave everyone a lot of room to sleep. Loved the hotel . Wish we had more time to enjoy the lobby areas and bar. Unfortunately we were there only one night. Sippinbar was great. Will stay here next time I return to Iceland!

I love this hotel! Conveniently located next to the marina, it also offers a top notch bar and restaurant. Order the cod/vegetable pan roast for dinner! A real treat. My only criticism: the morning hostess. She got angry with me when I asked to get myself coffee. The breakfast bar had closed 10 minutes prior. I grabbed some food as well and she said “you said you only wanted coffee!” I immediately asked her to charge me for breakfast. I never felt so unwelcome at a Restaurant. She did not act like a hostess.

The property itself was fine. Breakfast was included in our stay and the options were enough for some variety throughout the reservation. Cleanliness of the room was subpar. An eaten lollipop stick was found underneath the blanket following our first night. The third day, housekeeping cleaned out room and left bodily fluid, blood, on our bedsheets. We requested new linen for 2 days straight after being told housekeeping leaves at 4 PM and there’s nothing they could do. Quite unsanitary.
