The staff at the hotel were all extremely helpful and efficient. Location is conveniently located within walking distance of everything. We would definitely stay again if we were to return to Iceland.

The hotel was lovely, in a convenient location and the staff was very helpful. The only negative comment would be the bar area was a bit chilly which is the last thing you want after spending a day outside in the cold!

This hotel was in a perfect location as it is within easy distance to walk to the town center and main attractions in Reykjavik. Hotel was very modern and clean and rooms were comfortable. The tour bus and transfer bus right outside!

The property was very clean. The food and service was outstanding. The staff was beyond helpful. Each day we had questions about directions, helpful hints regarding transportation and they were very willing to assist us.

The staff were friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable. The hot tubs in the hotel were very relaxing. The neighborhood had great shops and restaurants - and was also walkable. Would definitely come back.

We really enjoyed our stay at Miðgarður. Our room was already ready, even though we arrived early directly from the airport, and they allowed us to check in without extra charges. The hotel is very well located, with shops and plenty of dining options around. We had a room for my husband, my son and myself and they had prepared my son’s bed and left everything ready very neatly. Room was very spacious! The spa was a wonderful added bonus, and the breakfast was great! Lots of options. We wanted to book a Northern Lights tour and they arranged that for us super quickly. And the transportation picks you up right outside of the hotel. Everybody that we interacted with at the hotel were super nice and friendly. Specially Flory who went above and beyond for us! The only kind of an issue is the parking, which really is understandable as they are in the city. They do offer some spots, but they fill up pretty quickly and there’s also people that are not guests at the hotel that use it, even though there are signs there that say they are only for hotel guests. But overall, great hotel and great service. We’re doing a ring-road road trip and will be staying here again on our way back and we’re looking forward to it. It’s an excellent hotel.

We selected this hotel for its location, It is one of the few hotels close to the main attractions in Reykjavik, that offer free parking. While the attractions are within walking distance you need to walk like 20 minutes to reach some of them. The staff at the hotel is friendly and offers good information about what to do in the area.

Great location, always parking, great friendly staff. Sufficient breakfast. Bathroom didn’t offer much privacy as door is just frosted glass and the hotel weren’t able to provide a twin room but it didn’t deter from the stay which me and my brother enjoyed!

Had a amazing stay. Food at the resturant and bar was nice, the resturant across the road was nice and there was also a food market very near by. Transport from here is perfect bus stops for the tours is right out side, public transport very close by and taxis are a buttons press away

We were a very late arrival but the hotel staff were still doing check Ins even at midnight! They were even able to direct us on locating food at that ridiculous hour, unbelievably there were a couple of restaurants open as well as a grocery store all very close to the hotel. We found the room to be quite warm, and did not see the windows could be opened until the morning. Breakfast was just ok though, hence the 4 stars, the warm foods were not warm because the sterno wasn’t lit or had gone out and many plates were empty and not refilled so very little fruit and pastry left by 9am. But the staff was very helpful and professional. Location was quite good. They also provided luggage storage while we went on an excursion overnight, which was very convenient. I’d stay here again.

Pros- staff are friendly, hotel restaurant is good. Buffet breakfast included with room. Free parking if you can get a spot. Good location downtown. Cons- double bed is two singles pushed together, which wouldn't be an issue if the quilt was a double instead of two singles horizontal across the bed. Room is very compact, we travel light but if you bring a big suitcase I have no idea where you would store it. Bathroom set up isn't great as the toilet and shower are combined. Very thin walls (we were lucky to have quiet neighbors) My main suggestion to the hotel would be to clean up the spa area. Lots of guests leave empty drink glasses and cans by the hot tub. When the staff come down with drinks could they not pick some up? Coming from Canada this is a 3 star, has the necessities but not upscale. Good for a place to sleep, but expensive for what it is.

Perfectly situated in the main shopping district of Central Reykjavik. Close to restaurants, bars, the harbour and main attraction. A clean, modern and very comfortable hotel. Good breakfast and even better dinner (we ate at the hotel on our second night). Highly recommended.

Staff was excellent and universally helpful and friendly. Wonderful, clean facility. Breakfast was decent quality. Coffee was subpar, but that's a minor complaint. Overall, a wonderful experience and would stay there again.
