Hotel was comfortable. Staff was friendly and spoke good English. Restaurant in hotel was clean. The shower in the bathroom was a little dirty. We were able to park down the street for additional €15 per day. Walking distance to the beach, shops, and many restaurants.

Beautiful Rimini beach
Stayed for a week in Rimini and chose the National Hotel just by luck. All staff at the hotel are very nice, good breakfast (didnt try lunchor dinner). Definately reccomend this hotel. It is in a really good spot so many lovely cafe's and restaurants, try the smaller places they are so much more personal than the larger restaurants (they are still also very good) The only thing I would say needs to be explained is that the hotel is across the road from the beach and you have to pay daily for a sunbed! I think some packages have this included but I was surprised to be expteced to pay and extra 15-20 Euro a day for a sunbed. The city tax is also 3 euro per person, per day. The hotel has a nice pool, not massive and can get busy.

Very nice hotel situated right in beachfront. Very welcoming reception staff. Nice comfortable room. Slight disappointment was breakfast. Both mornings very little fresh hot food or fruit salad & limited choices of bread which didn’t feel overly fresh

Really nice hotel. Centrally located and easy to get around. The bed was a bit hard but with the extra blanket I added a pad to make it softer. Great breakfast and really nice staff.

Amazing location, rooms, and staff!
My little brother and I last minute decided to go to Rimini between Stops in Rome and Venice, so we booked the National Hotel very last minute and through a budget hotel website. After experiencing some iffy hotels in Florence and Milan, we were PLEASANTLY impressed. We arrived and the front staff, who was incredibly friendly, was able to move us from our economy room to an ocean front view on the 5th floor! What an upgrade and for no fee! The downstairs of the hotel is typical Italian marble fare, but the rooms are SUPER modern. Lots of glass, windows, and light! The room was immaculately clean and very accommodating. The bathroom was beautiful. But the best part is the balcony. First off, if you like to sleep in and was a dark cave at night/early morning there are full hurricane shutters to block out ever ounce of light, but if you really enjoy a 24/7 view, the large glass window to the balcony doesn’t disappoint! The best was comfortable and the location was excellent in terms of walking to restaurants and access to the beach boardwalk. Now the hotel does not give you direct access to chairs/umbrellas on the beach, but that isn’t an issue as the breakfast was included and diverse. The downstairs bar makes a killer hot chocolate and the staff was very careful with storing our bags after we had checked out while we were on the beach! This was such a great experience I highly recommend this hotel!

Watch Out for the Small 10 square meter Rooms!
Booked 2 rooms for the Gelato trade fair in Rimini. Hotel entrance and common areas looked excellent. HOWEVER, the room (even though sea-facing) was probably the smallest hotel room possible outside Japan! The room was barely enough for 1 single bed. Living space about 10 square meters with a 4 square meter balcony. The bathroom was ridiculously small and cramped. The shower was only 80cm x 80cm - if you drop the soap bar you cannot bend down to pick it up! Toilet seat was loose and unfortunately wasn't fixed despite my request at the front desk. The positives: excellent well kept common areas, excellent breakfast with view of the beach, and excellent service.

Hotel was great in every way - location was very central yet looked over the beach. Service was excellent with a fantastic breakfast in lovely surroundings. Rooms were very comfortable and kept really clean. Only small downsides were the lack of tea making facilities in the room and the pool was a little small. Would certainly use this hotel again.

Excellent attentive staff very professional.
Excellent and personable experience. With professional staff who excel to provide good service. Beach location good with good facilities like sunbed, showers, beach tennis etc. Breakfast buffet excellent high quality. Waiteress on last day remembered I liked Watermelon and saved it for me. Restaurant Mtg came over to wish me a Happy Birthday and shake my hand. WOW Factor. Room service excellent always left 3 towel sets important as we were a family of 3 .Bike hire free. Great for kids.

Overall, one of the best hotels I've stayed at.
One of the best hotels I've stayed at in Italy. Typical elegant style of the very best Italian seaside hotels but at the most more affordable price. I would always try to stay here if I return to Rimini. I met one English traveller who has been coming here for 40 years and I can understand why. The dining room and breakasts are especially nice, with daily specials, and great choice and quality.

Great hotel right at the beach
It was a great hotel with an awesome breakfast buffet. Staff was great and helpful and especially at the breakfast they were so friendly and kind. I can only recommend this one! Location is right at the beach. Parking pretty expensive, we suggest to leave the car on the street. You should pay for it, but we didn't and never got a ticket for days. I guess this is the "Italian" way of parking. Everyone did the same :-)

The strip at rimini seems to be divided In to two categories nice and not so nice, this hotel I would say placed almost exactly in the middle. Perfect location to the beach which is just behind the hotel. Very busy so make sure you book your sun beds with the hotel before you go on holiday. Rows and rows of sun beds. The sea was nice and shallow and very enjoyable. You can also walk 20 minutes into the centre of rimini which is less touristy and worth a visit for the morning. We came here for a couple of days rest inbetween city visits and it worked very well but I couldn't stay for much longer.

Very helpful and friendly staff. A great team at the reception: with a special thanks to Tatiana, Livia, Francesco and Stefano. Nice Spa on the 6th floor, very happy with the Beauticians' services. The cleanliness of the room could be improved. Another minus was that we were a party of 3 placed in a very small room with beds taking practically the whole space. I think a room for 3 ppl at a hotel of this level should definetly be more spacious. Otherwise would def recommend /stay again, a very good choice. Plus a very good restaurant just across the road, which is very handy.

The staff were friendly and it was nice having a good quality restaurant at the hotel. Although I thought the Hotel had its own beach, I learnt on arrival that it is run separately and a sunbed was not included in the price of my room - so I had to go and pay the beach myself - a little disappointing although it looked like there was a similar arrangement at the other hotels I saw along the seafront. The room was spacious and was well cleaned everyday but what I found a bit odd, and annoying is that the air conditioning was ineffective and seemed to be turned off centrally for most of the day.

The hotel was in a central location. The staff was friendly. The carpets need cleaning and or replacement. The pillows are very hard and no extra were available in the room. Breakfast was outstanding. The pool was nice and very clean. I will stay again but I would have to bring my own pillow. The free Bicycles at the hotel was a great idea, I didn't have to move the car around town.

This hotel is right on the beach of Rimini and the room has a partial sea view which is very nice. But, the hotel appears to be quite old and in need of some maintenance - peeling wallpaper/paint in the rooms, hardly any light when it's dark. Our stay was before the peak season and only one night so it was pleasant enough - afraid of what it would be like in the peak summer season as it might turn into a noisy party place....

The hotel lobby was very stylish and nice, however the rooms are a bit oldfashion. They absolutely have to be refurbished. The breakfast service was very good and helpfull, I appreciate it. The wifi signal in the rooms was not sufficient to use the internet. Most of the reception employees does not speak english well, it was difficult to communicate with them. As wee needed to leave the hotel early in the moring, we asked the receptionist to prepare for us breakfast boxes. They agreed to arrange it. However in the morning, when we asked at the reception about the breakfast boxes, nobody was informed. so we left the hotel without any breakfast, which not acceptabe in the 4* hotel at all !!!!

We stayed here 3 nights to watch the England V San Marino world cup qualifier. The hotel was in an ideal location 25 meters from the beach and 50 meters from an English style pub come restaurant.Central for various eating etablihments. We first arrived quite late and the room we were given was a double bed (we had asked for 2 singles) Reception immediatley gave us another room so their service was first class and friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Far better than expected for a continental style buffet. Would i use this hotel again. A definate Yes Would i recommend this hotel. A definate Yes

The hotel was very comfortable and the reception staff could not be more helpful. The breakfast staff need a good shake up. things were not filled up and if you asked for anything like a fork it was too much trouble! Shame for this group of three staff really let down an otherwise exquisite hotel!

We had a most enjoyable 3 night stay at the National in mid October. The location is very good on the vibrant Viale Amerigo Vespucci, with the beach just across the promenade and an easy 20 minute walk through mainly parkland to Arco d'Augusto and the lovely old town. The staff were very pleasant, helpful and informative - especially Livia at reception, who went out of her way to assist us with one or two things. The choice and quality of the food at breakfast was excellent and the pleasant manner of the person who supervised the breakfast room (sorry did not catch his name) got us off to a great start each morning. The cleanliness of the public areas and our room could not be faulted. We would have no hesitation in returning to this hotel if going back to Rimini again in the future.

great hotel, location was great and next to the beach... breakfast was pretty good, they had an additional charge for the beach chairs and an umbrella, but we knew about it, so it did not come as a surprise.
