Cozy private room w/own bath and private entrance

This is a suite-like structure: a bright bedroom with own bathroom, private entrance and porch. A table, microwave, mini fridge and hot water kettle are provided. It is a new house located in the cul-de-sac, very quiet with a beautiful view. Whole house water filter. Easy and free street parking. Near UCR, downtown Riverside, and 91, 215, 60 freeways. No kitchen access. No TV is provided.

ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING, NO PARTY, NO DRUG, NO WEAPONS ANYWHERE ON THE PROPERTY, NO CHILDREN, OR PETS!!! NO BUSINESS, ONLY ACCOMMODATION ALLOWED!

GUESTS NOT LISTED ON THE RESERVATION ARE NOT ALLOWED!!! You must let host know who will be staying here. You cannot change the guests in the period of your booking. The host reserves the right to check guest ID.

Since this is a residential house, the wall in the room is not soundproofed, unlike in the hotel environment. You may hear talking from next room, so we ask every guest to do his/her best to lower the voice and keep quiet. The house is close to the mountain which provides shelter to all kinds of wildlife. While I do check the space thoroughly, it is possible a bug may enter. If this happens, please let me know, and I will humanely remove it as soon as possible.

Just a place to sleep
I had a much longer review that won't fit the character requirements, but suffice it to say this is a bare bones rental. Don't expect to make yourself home here. You are expected to be an unseen and unheard guest in their home, and you can hear them from the other side of the wall, not giving you the same common courtesy of being quiet and courteous. It is okay if you only need a place to sleep for a night or two, but it is not a place to relax and recuperate for a week. The bed is uncomfortable, the "kitchenette" leaves something to be desired, there's no TV. The heater they provided in case it got cold looked like it was from the 1980s and took over 4 hours to heat the small bedroom. There was only enough body wash provided for two days. I've stayed at higher quality places for less.

If you're serious about renting it out, you really need to buy a TV. My wife was grossed-out by the dirty microwave.

Extremely quiet
This is literally a sectioned off portion of their house and they're home while you're staying there. Everything was clean and we didn't even see the home owners. Checking in was confusing at first, the listing said private entrance but wasn't aware that it's actually the front door to their house that they want you to enter through, we eventually figured it out after we took an accidental lap around their backyard and not seeing a clear entry. There is no t.v. and the sense of being extra quiet was a little unfortunate for us. They do say it in the listing to be aware of keeping your voice down and to be considerate with noises but it felt to us like we had to whisper the entire time and it bugged us a bit. If it's just one person you should be OK tho. The bed is really basic and not very comfortable to be honest. Super nice suburban neighborhood, it's about a 5-10 minute drive from town to get something to eat. We had no idea there's wild Donkey everywhere in the area so that was a nice surprise.

Nice stay! Had a wedding in Redlands and this was perfect for that. Great for someone staying on their own who really just needs a place to sleep. Only issue was some trash under the bed.

Quiet, in lovely neighborhood. Clean, beautiful room with the basics. This was our second stay. The privacy we prize most--a super bonus! What a wonderful contrast than staying in a noisy economy inn! The home atmosphere great:)

Comfy alternative to a hotel room
I enjoyed staying here while visiting friends and family. Just as comfortable as a hotel room, but in a lovely neighborhood with easy access to the area near Riverside/Loma Linda/ San Bernardino. Great view.

Wonderfully quiet location, no freeway noise! Host family also very quiet. Minimalist and functional
Host accommodated early check in, which I appreciated given my long travel day. Host provided wifi info without prompting. Host quickly responded to communications. The property is at the end of a cul-de-sac and is very quiet. Bed is quite firm, and no hair dryer on my visit. Body wash, shampoo, conditioner were provided, and a few hangers. Microwave and electric kettle provided, plus fridge. BYO coffee/tea. My experience was good and I would rent again.
