A unique Dutch experience
The barge brings character to your Rotterdam stay. It is old-they say 170 years--so it has old problems that were quickly addressed by the caretaker. On the con side--1 of the 2 toilets was out of commission for a few days and there is no air condition. Pro: How fun it is to cook and have dinner and wine on the top of the barge in a canal! This it not an accommodation for someone that has mobility issues. You have to walk a dicey gangplank and negotiate over another barge to step across to yours, then down a ladder. But hey...lots of character! Caretaker Raymond was a great help.
