Pocket Guide: Saggart

Based in suburban Dublin, Saggart is a small village located near Tallaght in South Dublin. The town has a decent selection of hotels, restaurants and pubs to keep visitors entertained. It also has a DART (Dublin’s tram system) based within the village, as well as regular buses into Dublin’s City Centre.

Saggart Activities

In addition to the village’s shops, Saggart is close to Avoca Shopping Centre and Cafe, a popular Irish-run retail store that sells a range of Irish-made products and foods. Dublin City is also only 20 minutes away should you need a wider selection of shops.

For horse-riding fans, Saggart is also conveniently located near to Coolmine Equestrian Centre. The centre offers horse riding lessons for riders of all ages and experience. Saggart is well placed to allow you to explore Dublin City or County Kildare for the day. For something a little different, make your way along the M7 to Kildare Village, Ireland’s premier outdoor shopping centre.
