The Palms is a picturesque residential complex set in the exclusive area of Golf Del Sur. Landscaped Gardens, 4 delightful swimming pools a Pool Bar. An extremely spacious pool patio make this a wonderful complex to soak up the Tenerife sun.

The apartment benefits from being on two floors and therefore both bedrooms are completely separate. One bedroom has an en suite.

Off the main living room is a large balcony with lovely views over the swimming pools and the complex. Here you can relax in a sun chair or sit at the table with a drink and watch the sun go down.

However, the sun worshipping does not stop there! Downstairs also has a very spacious ground floor private patio with yet more sun chairs and patio furniture. A lockable gate then leads straight out to the pool.

The apartment feels fresh and modern.

The living room has two sofas. There is also internet TV (BBC1, 2, ITV and CH4). Patio doors lead to the top balcony, with lovely views over the complex pools to the sea in the background. There is a dining table and chairs on the balcony - a perfect spot for breakfast in the sunshine!

The apartment also has wifi.

The modern, well equipped kitchen has a fridge freezer, microwave oven, Smeg 5 ring cooker; kettle & toaster.

There is a washing machine in the utility room along with iron and ironing board.

The first bedroom is also located upstairs next to the family bathroom and has a king bed and one single bed, a ceiling fan, bedside tables and fitted dressing table and wardrobes.


The master bedroom is on the ground floor and has a super king bed, bedside table, chest of drawers, ceiling fan and fitted wardrobes and is air conditioned. There is also a large en suite bathroom. Leading from this bedroom is a huge ground floor terrace with sun chairs and patio furniture. This has access straight to the pool through a lockable gate.

For those wishing to hire a car, there is free on street parking right outside the apartment.

The complex of the Palms is an experience in itself. The apartments are set either side of the main Pool and Garden areas, with the walkways in between lined with trees and shrubbery. There are several gorgeous and very inviting pools, each set within their own area with plenty of sun beds surrounding them.

Picturesque passages lead you around this pretty complex. As you stroll along you will keep finding little corners where peace and tranquility can be found.

In the centre of the complex is the Pool Bar and a very reputable restaurant serving drinks and good quality food all day.

10 minutes from Airport, 10-15. The Golf del Sur does suffer from some aircraft noise.

Golf del Sur is a modern resort built around an 18 hole golf course. Amarilla Golf and Country Club, its neighbour, has effectively now become part of Golf del Sur also has an 18 hole championship golf course. These two were separate resorts until a few years ago when the roads were linked across the baranco that used to separate them.

 
 The resort is made up of individual hotel and apartment complexes that are centred on entertainment areas. The central area is at San Blas, which is to the east of the resort near Los Abrigos, where there are shops, boutiques, bars and restaurants. There is also a new marina area where there are boats and yachts moored with a couple of café bars where you can sit and relax.
 
There are also a number of very good restaurants down by the sea front next the marina were you can have a drink, lunch or dinner overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. A coastal path runs along the coast from the marina to the village of Los Abrigos, where there are some fine fish restaurants. Los Abrigos has largely avoided the temptation to develop and remains a typical Tenerife fishing village.
 
Golf del Sur is made up of residential complexes 4 and 5 star hotels and timeshare blocks. Amarilla Golf is to the west of the resort and is much older and is mainly residential apartments and villa complexes.

Golf del Sur Nightlife

Golf del Sur is a low key resort and has no night clubs as such, but there are plenty of bars and some very good restaurants and a couple of cabaret show bars with tribute type acts. There is more to this resort than the central San Blas area where there is nightly musical entertainment in the sqaure, and if you explore the resort there are some very nice places where you can eat and be entertained. The resort won't suit those looking for clubs where you can dance till dawn, but would suit holiday makers looking for a more relaxed evening out with a meal and some drinks.

Golf del Sur Beaches

Golf del Sur is not the place to come for a beach holiday, so you will probably want to have accommodation with a swimming pool if you want to bathe. Having said that, there is a very small beach by the San Miguel Marina made of black volcanic sand, pebbles and boulders, and a small beach at San Blas that has a small patch of black sand and large boulders, but is not really suitable for bathing or even paddling in. Take a look at our photos of Golf del Sur.

Where is Golf del Sur

Golf del Sur is located in the municipality of San Miguel de Abona on the south cost of Tenerife and is approximately 16km by road from the resorts of Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas. It's location is shown on the map by the red marker.

Tenerife South Airport to Golf del Sur Transfer Times

The distance from Tenerife Reina Sophia Airport to Golf del Sur is approximately 9km by road that takes about 15 minutes. Bare in mind that the Golf del Sur area is close to the airport so some aircraft noise will be heard on certain days. The taxi fare from Tenerife south airport to Golf del Sur will cost about 20 Euros. There are no direct bus services from Tenerife south airport to Golf del Sur.
