Great condo!

We've stayed at several VRBOs and this one was true to it's listing. Location is great, management company was very responsive and engaged. Had a few very minor hiccups and they responded immediately and helped us.If you're looking to stay in this part of CR, I would definitely recommend this condo building, location and management group.

Beautiful Gem directly on the Beach

If you love luxury accommodations, a small crowd, direct beach access, and the sounds of the Pacific this is the place for you! There is not enough stars for me to rate how relaxing and rejuvenating this special place is! Can’t wait to visit again!

Playa Hermosa Excellence

The Zindis Group were the consummate property managers. The property was phenomenal and Zindis kept checking to make sure we were well taken care of on the time in Guanacaste. We go to Costa Rica multiple times a year and this will be the place to revisit.

Incredible

Everything about our stay was perfect, from beginning to end. The weather was gorgeous! We loved drinking coffee and listening to the waves on the patio in the mornings. The birds were pretty and fun to watch as well. We saw howler monkeys in the trees a little ways up the beach. We enjoyed the little town of Playa Hermosa so much! Ginger was our favorite restaurant, but it was so convenient to walk to other nearby restaurants just minutes away. The condo itself was exactly as listed. There is a lot of space and everything is simply lovely. The little gift basket upon arrival was such a sweet gesture. The pool/hot tub area is steps from the patio and most of the time we had it all to ourselves. But, we loved playing in the waves on the beach the most. Even though the sand is dark, we were able to snorkel a lot and saw some pretty fish. We had a rental car and drove to La Leona waterfall (less than an hour away) and definitely recommend that. We also zip lined there which was a blast. We felt the Pura Vida vibes everywhere we went and honestly can’t wait to go back to Costa Rica. We will 100 percent stay at Sol y Mar again! Highly recommend!

A lovely spot to relax

We found everything to be clean, as advertised, and lovely. The check-in process was easy, the poop area was a favourite, and the beach was calm and easy. We enjoyed taking a snorkel boat tour right out on the beach, loved walking the beach, and enjoyed breakfasts at Verde close by. We would recommend this spacious and well located condo.

Family Celebration

Loved everything about this trip. The condo is beautiful and you can't beat the location. Steps from the pool and the ocean and a gorgeous view from the patio. Just a short walk to numerous wonderful restaurants right on the beach. We all agreed, this was one of the most relaxing vacations we have had. Would absolutely rent this unit again. Thank-you Costa Rica for sharing your beautiful country with us!

This is a beautiful beach front condo with walk-out access directly to Playa Hermosa.

This was a wonderful stay in Playa Hermosa. The communication with the property manager for check-in as well as recommendations and booking an excursion through the concierge was seamless. The condo was equipped with everything we needed and more. I will definitely book this location again for future stays.

Quick Escape

We have stayed at Sol Y Mar in the past and our experience both times has been great. This was a short trip to just relax and enjoy the scenery. Gus was there to help us with any needs. Condo was in great condition and there were no issues at all. We will be back

7 days at Sol y Mar

Beautiful property and well taken care of. If you are looking for a beautiful, not to busy beach, with fresh seafood and great drinks just an easy walk down the beach that is not a resort then this is the place for you! Saw all kinds of wildlife and easy to get to the other excursions in the area. Only 30 min from the airport. Definitely would go back again!

We had a lovely stay. The property was everything we were looking for. Beautiful beach view from the condo and lovely walks. One of the locals took us fishing and back to their home for dinner. What a lovely time. The nearby restaurants were nice too. The owners left a map and ideas for things to do. Very helpful . Everything was left with lots of thought and detail. Thank you so much !

We keep coming back!

This was our third year staying in this condo. We love the easy access to beach and pool for our young son, the lovely furnishings and attention to detail, security. That said, we’ll likely start branching out to different places because it’s getting so expensive we can’t afford more than 4 nights. While this place is top notch I think there are others for less money with some compromises that we can handle.

Outstanding location

Sol y Mar is an outstanding location. Private, beautiful beaches. Numerous restraunts on the beach. The people at the Zindis group are fantastic. Dont hesitate to book this property and use them to help schedule your excursions...even your rental car...they are outstanding. Its nice to have private security 24 hours if you need anything. We will be back!!!

1C simply the best

Have stayed here before and we'll be back again! Morning, afternoon and evening beach walks are so easy from 1C. You are right at the edge of the beach; thru the property gate and you're there. A number of good to great restaurants within a short (5-15 min) walk on the beach. Sunsets are spectacular. Spending time on the back deck is great--i.e. cards, dominoes, reading, meals, etc It's nice to have 12 hours of daylight here in Costa Rica....

Incredible experience! Zindis is the property manager and took every step to make the stay great. We had a house manager, Gustavo, who was always available via text for anything. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a stay at the beach in Costa Rica.

Practically Perfect

If you’re considering booking this condo, don’t hesitate. It is exactly as pictured. We were 3 couples and the layout was ideal. (We asked that the twin beds be made up as a king) The complex is very secure and we had the pool area to ourselves most of the time. The beach was just steps away and with several restaurants a short stroll down the beach we didn’t even bother to cook. Having said that, the kitchen has everything you could possibly need to make a feast. We rent vacation homes all over the world and this place surpassed them all in that department. Hermosa Beach is beautiful and not at all crowded. We rented a car and made a couple of trips to Coco for groceries and dinner but were always happy to return to our little slice of heaven. Our only suggestion is for a couple of good beach chair- but even that feels a bit nit-picky! We will definitely book again for our next trip!

Better than expecations

This place was amazing! The location was perfect having the beach right in front. We had three adults and one 11-year old and the space was perfect. We visited during what is considered the wet season and the weather was great! It was sunny and beautiful during the day and started to rain after 3:00. It didn't rain every day either. There was one night it was a downpour, but overall, the weather was ideal. The place is fully stocked with kitchen supplies, laundry supplies, games, and beach supplies. We even received a welcome basket with coffee, chips, salsa, and chocolate. The fridge has a water filter and there is reverse osmosis. So, you don't have to worry about drinking the water. There is a few bottles of sunscreen and bug spray, but I would advise you get some at the store if you don't bring any. I would suggest buying some spices for food since the ones there may have been there a while. There are stores and restuarants within walking distance. We rented a car to have the freedom to explore and driving here is not difficult at all. You just need to be assertive and watch for people walking or riding their bike. Gustavo is awesome! He was so helpful and provided some good information about the area and things we can do and places to eat. The wifi was perfect and my daughter was even able to do some homework during the evening. I woke up every morning to the crashing waves and sat out on the porch with coffee watching dolphins jump, crabs walk by, iguanas, and tons of beautiful birds. It's always nerve wracking going to a place that only see pictures of, and this place did not disappoint. We definitely want to come back.
