For a sandy day on the beaches of Lake Michigan, head to the Oval Beach or the Saugatuck Dunes State Park, both less than a 10-minute drive.

Only 2 miles away you'll find all the fun and excitement of downtown Saugatuck. There are shops, restaurants, parks, galleries, and even a live theater with Broadway-quality shows.

Back at home you'll love the wooded surroundings and may even catch glimpses of birds, deer, fox, rabbits, and other wildlife in your backyard. The outside space of this home is where you'll want to be. The spacious deck is complete with outdoor furniture to relax with a book or just spend time with your loved ones. Or, relax in the hot tub after a full day exploring town. Gather around the fire pit in the yard for s'mores and laughter.

The main level of this home offers many separate areas to either retreat or all come together. Formal dining room has a large farmhouse table where you can all enjoy a meal together. The fully equipped kitchen boasts granite counters, stainless appliances, and everything you need to cook up a feast in your vacation home.

The open living and casual dining are great for spending time together and the sliders lead to the deck. This level also has a den with two twins and a half bathroom.

Head upstairs where you'll find four additional bedrooms and two full bathrooms plus the laundry room. The master bedroom has a large master bath with a soaking tub, separate shower, toilet room, and walk-in closet. As a bonus, the lower level of this lovely home offers a second living room with a game table - great for extra space to hang out.

This home is situated in the woods. It is common to see animals, mice, and other vermin. The property is serviced twice monthly by a professional pest company, but sometimes vermin do sneak in. Please let us know right away if you see evidence of anything inside and we will send out pest control. No rate adjustments can be made for vermin in or around the house.
This home is on a septic system. Please do not flush anything other than toilet paper. If you flush other items, such as feminine products, it will cause a sewage backup into the showers. Please only flush toilet paper.
The garage is not included in the rental. There is room in the driveway for 4+ cars.

Great weekend!

We booked this house for my sister’s bachelorette party and it was the perfect house for us! Great location, close to downtown and the beach! And the house was clean and spacious, with a beautiful lot surrounded by trees!

Quiet Stay

Would give 5 stars all around the board but the place advertised if you left anything they would ship back at your expense. And that did not happen. Whoever cleans the place if they've already thrown your stuff away or chooses to keep it will just say that they couldn't find anything. Even if you tell them exactly which room it was in. Otherwise it was a relaxing quiet stay. Does have all your base needs and our party enjoyed themselves. Just triple check all your rooms and make sure you don't leave anything and you'll be grand. 😂

First Bad VRBO Experience

My media club selected the property in Douglas, Michigan for our annual retreat. The property was selected because of the location and amenities. We have been visiting the area for more than thirty years and for the first time experienced accommodations that were much less than expected. While the location and the size of the property were excellent, the house itself was in disrepair and not prepared for visitors. The furniture and carpet were dirty, the towels seemed thread bare, the hot tub and fire pit area appeared to not have been attended to in a long time. The most egregious thing about the property was that the furnace did not work. The management company sent out a repair person who reported that the furnace could not be fixed, during our stay, due to the inability for them to obtain a part. Subsequently, we were provided with space heaters by the the management company. While the temperature was not freezing, it was, at times, uncomfortable in the house. I think it is essential for property owners to inspect their homes to ascertain what needs to be addressed before offering them was viable rental properties. In this instance, it appears as though this was not done.
