My family and I just had a 5 night stay at Hotel del Mare in October 2023. We can not say enough wonderful things about this hotel. The staff in all areas were so friendly and helpful. The rooms were spotless. The hotel breakfast was fresh and delicious. The surrounding area is full of shopping just a 10 minute walk away and only a 2 minute walk to the water where there is many delicious restaurants and bar. 10/10 recommended!!! Ariel G

If you have a choice, stay somewhere else
It’s fine, but disappointing. The staff is not gonna go out if their way to help. We were jaded because we stayed a night somewhere else for less and it was way better. Stay somewhere else if you can.

Our stay here was wonderful. We had beautiful views of Mount Vesuvius from our window. The staff were amazing and so helpful with anything at all. I have never stayed at a place before where the staff were so accommodating. There is a lovely rooftop to enjoy an aperitif in the evening. I would definitely stay here again.

As an American coming over to Italy for my first time was nervous but after check in everything g went smoothly there where a lot of other Americans staying there 10 minute walk to sorrento but on the shore behind hotel was cute and nice places to eat the room itself was small but as expected everything was clean bathroom had faint smell but for the price was everything we needed also breakfast was great !

The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Our room was smaller than our friends' but we had a view of the Mediterranean and it was beautiful! The breakfast buffet had whatever you could want. We had a great time!

The staff of this property were very nice and friendly. The location was about a 20 minute walk to the marina where you catch the ferries and about a 10 minute walk to restaurants, so location was great. The cons of this place would be how small the room was! Pictures made the room look small but with luggage there wasn’t much space to turn around so it felt very cramped for 2 people. Breakfast selection was average but can’t complain. Another issue was that in the Expedia listing said there was a 24 hour airport shuttle, when I reached out months in advance to reverse a spot I was told it can be handled once I checked in but once I checked in I was told all private transfers need to be booked well ahead of 72 hours and the usual private transfer company was on vacation, so I had to figure out a way to get to the airport on my own which was very stressful.

Great Staff, Very Loud Hotel
The staff were excellent! Very kind and helpful. Nice location by the water, but showing a lot of signs of being worn down. And it was SO loud. All of the floors are tile so it’s like an echo chamber. We were woken up repeatedly by doors closing, suitcases banging, shoes on the stairs. The person across the hall had a cough and we could literally hear them all night. That’s an indication of the thin walls and volume of the echoes; when you can hear across the hall every time someone coughs or flushes their toilet. If any of the rooms turned on the shower near us it sounded like it was in our room with us. Would maybe stay again, but would also look around at other places too.

Hotel Del Mare - September 2023
Location was perfect - right on the bay next to several fun restaurants with easy access to the train station shuttle. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Originally had a room facing the hillside but were upgraded complimentary upon arrival to a water view which was lovely. Would absolutely stay here again!

This hotel is a great hotel right on the water. Very clean and modern. Breakfast had a variety of food. Perfect for walking into Sorrento or over to Marina Picolo. The only negative was the hard bed. It was not very comfortable at all.

Very nice spacious room. Bathroom had everything I need although the shower stall is very small. Bed was comfortable and the refrigerator was spacious. The room was quite and a 2-3 minute walk to beach and restaurants. The staff was helpful and the night clerk/bartender was very good and friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Easy to catch the bus from the beach as well. I would come back to this place.

Property is ok but forget the sea view from yhe room window. We had a nice house wall as a view. Breakfast buffet is nice and staff is friendly. A little bit difficult to find the place with garmin and a good walk from sorrento center

Great little spot while in Sorrento! The walk to the main plaza is a bit intense if you're on the older side and not as fit. But overall great. Only feedback for the hotel would be to invest in white towels. They have blue towels that can't be washed with Clorox so all of our towels smelled like mildew after we used them. My family also stayed in another room and experienced the same thing with the towels. Hopefully the hotel changed to white towels to avoid the smell in the future

Sadly this hotel didn’t meet expectations. I say this because for £300 a night you can book the hotel around the corner with a pool and incredible sea view room was £250. There are images attached to show the disrepair. But also our room was next to the lift and it was incredibly noisy. They didn’t even have fruit juice behind the bar for our toddler. We complained and were offered a room with a window that faced the sea but it still wasn’t worth it. The staff were helpful enough though. Real shame we had to upheave ourselves and change hotels at our expense.

The price for your room (a four bedded room on a weekend of the busiest period of the season) is adequate to the market rates according to the period in which you booked the room in May. It is of course possible that other accommodation can have a lower pricing depending on the empty rooms they have left for that particular day. Considering that our website is very accurate in descriptions and pictures of our rooms, we are positive that there is no missrepresentation and when people book they are aware of the price they pay and the accommodation they book.We have also offered you our best room, as an alternative, at no extra cost, but you declined it. Unfortunately, at that moment we did not have any fruit juice available, but only soft drinks.

Beautiful clean modern room. 2 minute walk to beach and waterfront restaurants. 15 min walk to Sorrento shopping and 10 min walk to port. Great local restaurants. Rooftop terrace beautiful spot for a nightcap. Breakfast was very good. Would go again.

Hotel Del Mare is a hidden gem. The hotel is located near the wharf and is a bit out of the way, so PLEASE take a taxi to the hotel - you can navigate on foot afterward. The staff was very welcoming. Jessica was phenomanal! She even arranged for us to dine at a Michelin-star restaurant. That was a memorable last evening. The hotel is superbly kept, and the rooms are small but beautiful and clean. One of my favorite spots and if we are ever in Sorrento, I will definitely stay at the Hotel Del Mare. Ciao!

This hotel was in a great location, one block from a smaller, less busy beach with great restaurants and convenience store. Also a 15 min walk from hotel to city centre. Breakfast was great and staff very friendly and helpful. If you have a car, they have a secured parking lot for €20 a night. Would definitely stay again!

Our room was on the first floor, one flight up the open staircase from the open lobby. The noise from the lobby late at night and early in the morning was a bit of an issue. Room was very small. Bathroom very small. View out the window was of another buildings wall about 6 meters away. We liked the area - very near to the beach, restaurants and fishing boats. Front desk staff were very nice and helpful.

Sweet little place
This is a really cute hotel right up the beach from Marina Grande. Clean rooms with cozy beds. Pillows could use some body to them. It’s hard to speak to the rooms as we were on the basement floor. Maybe the ones higher up with views are nicer? That said, the room was FINE! just a place to lay your head, right? The upstairs roof deck is charming with a GREAT view and they brought us drinks while we enjoyed the afternoon. Everyone was very helpful. Special recommendation: if you’re coming back from dinner, plan for a night cap at the hotel bar with bartender Antonino. He’s so kind and funny and has great recommendations and stories. You’ll meet the others in the hotel and it’s just a lively time!

Great location
The hotel has a great location. A block from the beach and very close to the ferry’s. The staff was very kind and treated us excellent. The breakfast was good. The room was a bit too small but it was ok for us for two nights.
