"This is a beautiful, comfortable property which was ideal for our ski trip to the Palisades / Alpine Meadows areas; 20 minutes drive on the weekdays. We arrived just after the early March snowstorm which hit California. The property parking area had been ploughed, entrance way dug out ( from 4 ft of snow) and the cottage was warm and cozy for our arrival. Please note, in deep snow you will need a 4 wheel / all wheel drive vehicle with winter or all weather tyres or chains to access the area. Very well equipped kitchen with all the basics to be able to cook meals, but Tahoe City’s many restaurants are an easy drive and Shadyside / Fireside Cafe / Spoon / Sunnyside and West Shore Market are within a 1/2 mile walk. The rental company were excellent with all communications and would have been there if we had had any issues as locally based in Tahoe City but the property was so clean and well maintained no issues were experienced . We were so sad to leave after our 8 day stay and look forward to returning to this beautiful property and area."
