Beautiful View / Tiny Room
Beautiful hotel, very well situated for visiting by foot. We had a room with balcony on the 4th floor (highest floor) and had a beautiful view. The room very clean but very tiny but the bed was very comfortable. On the negative side, there was a smell when window/door were closed. We believe it came from the bathroom toilet, like sewage smell. The smell would go away and come back but in very short periods. One thing we do not understand either with many hotels is that they don’t have facial washcloths nor tissue paper and only 1 garbage bin, which does not permit to recycle anything. Parking was 12 EU per day at the Hotel but it was free on the streets all around the hotel, which was a plus for us travelling along the coast with a rental car. Free parking is between white lines (not green nor blue for which you have to pay)

A great hotel with lovely pool area and very friendly staff. And an easy walk into the old town. I would say though that we travelled as a family and although the hotel is billed as ‘family-friendly’, the pool area was mainly occupied by adults and we did get a few looks from other guests when our lively 9 year old was splashing around having fun. Not the hotel’s fault at all, but perhaps better suited to adults.

Older hotel a mile from the ruins and old Tarragona, all uphill walking. I was surprised to hear from hotel management that the reason I was in a street-facing room was because I booked through Expedia and not through the hotel directly. We heard some street noise during the night. I’d have preferred a pool-facing room. H10 Hotel Tarragona is in a better location. Close to restaurants, ruins and restaurants.

We stayed on the newly refurbished floor in room 104. Very modern and clean room, great air conditioning and a view from the balcony over the roof garden and partial view of the pool. Stayed here three times now, just a ten minute walk to the town.

A great place to stay while exploring Tarragona
Fantastic hotel, great design, helpful staff at the reception, comfortable room with everything you need, available parking if you arrive by car, though you have to pay extra for using it. The only minus was that renovation was going on in the hotel during our stay and we were not warned in advance about that.

Nice, well priced hotel in Tarragona
Very good reasonably priced hotel.Good location near beach and old town. Staff are friendly and efficient. Room cleaning staff were particularly good .Lovely view of the pool from our room. Pool area was generally quiet with plenty of beds. No need for an early start to reserve! Breakfast was plentiful and well priced at €9. Would return.

Good location, room balconies were nice. Comfortable bedding though rooms look a bit bigger in pictures than they actually are. Reception staff was pleasant. The hotel restaurant was bit of a let down. Breakfast was a bit limited and not quite worth the extra paid for. They could do better with a few more options and something.

Great Location, Rooms need updating.
Excellent location near the city and beach, easily acessible by car. The common areas (pool, garden, lobby) are also very nice and well kept. The room was OK but the bathroom was a bit dated, bathtub and toilet were worn out and the balcony was not clean at all. Only 1 shampoo and showergel for 2 people is also not enough.

Hotel staff where very helpful and great. Room was very nice, hotel was only 10 mins away from many attractions. We could see the ocean from the garden view. We would stay hear again. bathrooms need an up dating and a room safe, would of made our stay perfect.

Lovely Hotel But Could Do Better
The swimming pool, garden and location make the Astari a great choice. We had a city view room which lacked a few things like extractor fan in bathroom, adjustable shower, hook for dressing gown in bathroom, safe. The bar/restaurant opened at various times from 5pm but sometimes not until 8pm. We arrived at 2pm and could get nothing to eat or drink until the evening. Luckily there are bars and supermarkets nearby. However we had a great stay and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. There is a large supermarket to the left of hotel about 10 minutes walk and Spar to the right.

Nice hotel close to the beach
Comfortable room with a nice balcony. The room did not have a safe, but they offered the use of a safe at the front desk for a fee. Room also was a little noisy so we could hear the people next to us. It was great to park in the parking garage and the price for parking was reasonable. The outdoor pool was really nice and is quite large. The hotel is a very close walk to the beach (which was gorgeous), a grocery store nearby and fairly close to many of Tarragona's historical attractions. We particularly liked the nearby aqueduct (10 minute drive). Overall it was a great stay.

Lovely hotel and staff were fantastic. Superb pool and outdoor dining/relaxing area and location was literally a 5 minute walk from either the beach or the popular area of town. A little gem.

3 *** Hotel
Thanks to wonderful customer service of Olena we had a nice stay. My 1st impression was good, very nice clean and light reception area with comfortable seating area. However, the 1st room that we were allocated was not good, there was not enough wardrobe space to hang our clothes, the tiles were cracked in the bathroom and the overall cleanliness was below average, we paid for a pool view but had a lateral view of the pool. The hotel was fully occupied on our arrival and it was not possible to change rooms, however, the following evening after making a 2nd complaint Olena was able to move us to a larger, lighter room with sufficient hanging space & full pool view that we had paid for. Whilst staying at the hotel we made use of the very nice pool and sun terrace, had a nice meal and drinks from the pool bar all of which were very reasonably priced. We would go back to the Astari, yes but only if we could secure the room we were moved to.

A Great Find
Amazing hotel with underground parking (for a fee) and just a 15 minute walk to the old town center, The room was a good size,with a large closet and beds were comfortable. Front desk was very helpful, and breakfast was excellent for a reasonable price .

The hotel looks very nice from the outside and the reception area also looked nice. Unfortunately the same could not be said of our room. It was extremely old fashioned and in need of some TLC. The bathroom was tired - crack in the sink, scratched bath and stained toilet. However there was a mini bar and the air con worked which was good. Nice balcony overlooking the pool. The best thing was the breakfast - plenty of choice and all very nice. Staff was friendly and helpful.
