The woman at reception when we checked in was lovely. The man at the check out was the opposite, rude and morose. Our room was nice and quiet. The whole place has a lot of marble. If that is not your taste stay away.

I had a great view from my room - it was a wonderful stay. I was extra happy to have air conditioning - I had to have the staff come up and help me with it because I couldn’t figure it out but they were very accommodating. The location is perfect - as I was leaving by train the next day. Would definitely stay here again

The room was situated directly below the dining room kitchen, with constant walking and opening/ closing of doors from early morning until late at night so unable to rest

My review
Room wasnt as on pics. One of receptionist didnt speak English at all. Breakfast was pretty poor. I wouldnt recommend this hotel. You can book much more better for that money in Vigo.

A nice, pleasant hotel in a town with Christmas decorations that put the West End of London to shame. The staff were on the ball, the room was reasonably priced and it was in just the right location.

The hotel is a renovated 1970s building. It has a good location on the harbour front and nice views from the rooftop breakfast room. I stayed at the weekend and my stay was spoilt because it was noisy until 5 am and I found it hard to get to sleep. They fill the hotel with group bookings including boys football teams. The room rate was cheap. In hindsight some of the 4 ir 5 star hotels in Vigo would have been a better option.

The hotel exceeded expectations! Service was great and location is unbeatable. Very easy to move around and walk everywhere. The staff was very professional and attentive. Will stay there again!

What a Great Stay
I would have no difficulty in recommending this hotel. From the moment we arrived until the day we left (2 nights / 3 days) we could not have been taken care of any better. Staff from the Front Door, to the Front Desk to Housekeeping were very helpful and courteous at all times. The Front Desk Staff were particularly helpful and courteous. The location of the hotel was excellent - and we could walk to all the beautiful visitor attractions Vigo has to offer (a Great City) I hope to visit Vigo and stay at Hotel Ciudad de Vigo again.

The Ciudad is well located and the staff were very helpful. However, the hotel is pretty worn, it needs an overhaul for sure. I would rate it three stars at best

Good Choice in Viego
Hotel Ciudad Vigo was a very nice place to stay in the wonderful city of Vigo. It was a longer walk from the train station than it appeared on maps but was doable with roller luggage...a cab ride was about $5 US plus tip for two. The hotel elevator(s) were being udated but not a problem. The room was spacious, clean and fair priced. I'd recommend this hotel and stay there again.

If only a bit closer to the train station.
This hotel was outstanding, if it had only been a bit closer to the train station and had more electronic charger outlets it would have been perfect too. Vigo is a very pretty town and very worth a visit...this is a great choice from which to explore the city on foot. If you prefer to take a taxi to/from the train station the cost we paid was 5 Euro...including a good tip! If you choose to walk to/from the train station, note that you must cross to the opposite street-side as the same-side walk is blocked by traffic fencing at the mid-way traffic rotary.

Reasonable hotel let down by atrocious breakfast
This is a reasonable hotel, with pleasant staff, in a good location a stone's throw from the harbour. My room was large, quiet and comfortable. But all this was utterly negated by the dreadful - and I mean, absolutely abominable, HORRIFIC breakfast. I don't expect perfection from a 3 or 4-star hotel, but this is what I encountered in the hot, airless breakfast room: one single type of hard roll; a display cabinet containing a few slices of processed, sweating cheese; stewed coffee; a couple of 2-hour old fried eggs coagulating on a hot plate; some bacon SWIMMING in grease; a bowl with two tinned peach halves; rancid scummy milk. Oh my LORD. It was truly DREADFUL, and for this reason alone I could not recommend this otherwise fine hotel.

We loved this hotel. VERY reasonably price, squiky clean, modern, good beds, comfortable ambiance, fiendly, helpful staff who also speak English and maybe Greman and French? nice design. well located. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED . We have high standards. We have traveled a lot.
