The hotel is clean and comfortable but we were surprised by the £10 parking fee to use the car park behind the hotel. There’s no option as parking on the street is restricted
Claimed they were unable to charge my card remotely, despite my never having had any issues with it before in bookings through Hotels.com and it having plenty funds available. I suspect they may have purposefully keyed in the wrong CVC code to make the transaction decline. Demanded cash and charged me more than the rate I was offered by Hotels.com. I refused to pay cash as this was a business trip but they still charged me more for the privilege of paying by card in person at the hotel. The bed and pillows were not comfortable at all. I was awake all night because the walls were so thin I could hear the conversations of other guests in other rooms on the landing and some guests were playing loud music until 3am which nothing was done about. I would have had a better sleep if I had slept in the street. Absolutely abismal.

Hello Mr. Peter,
Thanks for your review. appreciated.
We have checked our office but have not find out your driving license with us.
Can you please check in your wallet .
May be you misses outside anywhere.
Many thanks.
Was a very run down building with a cluttered hallway (wrapped up bed in the hall). The guy on reception was niice. My double room was very dated, the TV didn't work but the bed was comfy. I've never seen such a small bathroom. I'm not big but I struggled in the shower and small closet sink. My dad had a single room. That was terrible. Very badly decorated and so ismall there was no room for a wardrobe. his bathroom was tiny also. It's not somewhere I would stay again or recommend.

Bed fine, but ensuite very poor
The room was fine and the bed comfortable, however, the ensuite left a lot to be desired. The toilet did not flush properly and the shower was no more than a fine spray.
Clean, friendly staff willing to go the extra mile. location for attractions, very powerful shower and hot unlike many hotels wev been to. Clean bedding & towels. Owner was great and understanding of my child with special needs. Good value for money. Will be coming back for sure.
Overly friendly and familiar owner- wouldn’t have felt comfortable if I had been a single female. Gritty room. Shower temperature couldn’t be altered so way too hot.
This is a good value B&B Guest house with off-street parking and about 12 minutes walk to the Castle. It is also very convenient of access from the M4 without having to negotiate the town centre. Continental breakfast was £5 extra which was not entirely clear from the booking process. Would use again.

Much improved
Stayed here for a 2nd time to compete in an event locally. Convenient location. Impressed by the refurb, looks much better and we were given a very friendly welcome. This is a 2*hotel and you should be realistic about the facilities but we will stay here again
Warm and helpful staff: But hotel itself mostly dysfunctional. Only a bottom sheet on the beds, and when asked, they seemed OK with that e.g. having a scratchy bedspread as the top sheet (which they called a duvet, but it's not a duvet). WiFi didn't work. What they call a lounge area actually is a storage room for suitcases that you're sitting in. But again, the staff are good and there is free parking in the back.
Clean comfortable everything worked 5 minute walk from the centre of town

Very good find
The hotel was in a quiet area and only a 5 min drive to the race course. Parts of the hotel were being redecorated at the time like the breakfast area so food was brought up to the room instead. The staff were very nice and helpful throughout the stay
A good night in Windsor spoilt by a bad hotel room
The shower was boiling hot water.
The shower had lose wall tiles and the lower half was covered in black mould spores.
The toilet was so close to the sink and radiator that you either banged your leg or burnt your leg.
The bed was like a children’s bed.
The sheet was not cleaned, it looked someone had slept in the bed with their shoes on.
The room heating was so hot that it made you sweaty without moving and there was no adjustment dials to change the temperature.
I waited nearly 15 minutes before someone attended the front desk.

perfectly ok place with friendly staff
Nothing great, nothing bad - helpful, friendly staff - the place smells odd although I can't say 'bad', just odd. Clean, comfortable, no frills. I stayed on a weekday and most of the folks staying seemed to be business travelers looking for a cheap-ish place to stay (me included). It fits the bill.
Staying for a business trip down to windsor. Great check in, really friendly service and received a warm welcome. Room was tired and in need of new decor but was fine for one night. For the price i paid i can't complain too much. WiFi was unreliable but owner tried to rectify this. Speedy check-out. All in all it was fine.
We didn't stay longer than the few minutes it took us to notice that the place was not clean. The top cover on the bed being an eiderdown, did not appear to get washed. The double bed headboard was broken and only half the headboard was there! The room smelt awful. The lady at the front desk seemed pleasant.
Warm welcome from manager and Room small with dated bed linen. Half the headboard missing and the thermostatic shower in room faulty only getting cold water...overall score poor. Manager says carpark free on this occassion but usually £10 he charges for using the carpark. Hotel rewiew says free.
Nice front desk staff and close to the main area. Bed was very comfortable. Hard to find at first, but simple after that. Just ask the hotel for directions before arrival. Maybe a 10 minute walk to th castle.
Nice room, clean, not the most up to date and could do with a few fixes specially the shower as it didn't work too good, but it worked enough for us to use and it was clean.

Very friendly service from the owner.
He said they are doing a full refurb soon which will be great as it is needed.
Good value for money accomodation.
Basic is about the best I can say, Bed old and even tho my partner is twice my size I was rolling out my side whilst he was above me, headboard broken in half, one half missing, pillows thin and old, damp patches on ceiling, no wardrobe just 4 hooks on back of door, couldn't get the shower hot,
Very good location but the hotel is in need of a serious update.

Guesthouse near the heart of Windsor Castle
I stayed for a week to look for places to live in UK. Location is very good, close to a supermarket, a few pubs and about 15 minutes from town center and 2 train station.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful even by hotel standards!
The hotel itself is in an old building and the age shows, which can be quite charming but also a frustration to some guest.
Friendly helpful staff. Comfortable room. Hotel is in a good location with good access to the M4 and Windsor town centre.

Close Town Centre Location
Location is perfect, parking is available.
However the room I stayed in had no heating, the radiator was cold, but they did provide an electric heater that we left on whilst out so that the room resembled room temperature before we went to bed.
Quite a few scuffs and marks on the furniture, kettle was on the floor as the cord wouldn't reach the table. Bathroom door didn't close properly.
But it was generally ok.
When we went to leave the staff had managed to block us in the car park and wouldn't move their car until they had done the bins so had to wait 10 minutes even though there was space to move.
Good experience. B&B near the city center and to all the bus and train links. In the room we found the kettle with instant coffee, tea and sugar, glasses and cups. additional electric heater. Soaps and shampoos. Room and bathroom clean enough.

Scruffy
I was a bit apprehensive about our stay having read some of the other reviews. But we found it OK. Yes it is in need of a lot of TLC, but our room was clean and comfortable. So over all, because of location and cost, not bad.
I stayed with my friend Mike as we took part in a Spartan Race in the very nearby Great Windsor Park.
It's mere minutes from some great food places and Windsor Castle
