Those who love the outdoors can also explore the countless hiking trails in the Lake Tahoe Basin.From Zephyr Cove you can easily reach several nearby ski slopes by car. Those wanting to zoom around on speedy snowmobiles can join a guided tour. Experienced and inexperienced riders alike will enjoy the scenic journey around Lake Tahoe, and you’ll be treated to a steaming hot chocolate along the way. Zephyr Cove Resort and Beach sits on National Forest Land in South Tahoe on the Nevada side of the lake. The Reno–Tahoe airport is a 40-mile (65-kilometer) drive away, and there are public transport options to the airport and other Lake Tahoe destinations.
