Day 1: Pick Up from Kigali to Volcanoes National Park & Mount Bisoke Hiking
Your 2 Day tour begins at 4:30am, with an early morning pick-up from Kigali by your professional driver-guide. Enjoy a scenic drive through the beautiful countryside, rolling green hills, and local communities as you head towards Volcanoes National Park, home to the famous Virunga Volcanoes and endangered mountain gorillas.
Upon arrival at the park Office at 7:00am, you will receive a briefing before starting your guided hike to Mount Bisoke, one of Rwanda’s most spectacular volcanoes. The hike takes you through bamboo forests, rainforest trails, and scenic mountain landscapes filled with breathtaking views and fresh mountain air.
As you ascend higher, enjoy panoramic views of the Virunga Volcanoes and surrounding nature. Reaching the summit rewards you with the stunning crater lake at the top of Mount Bisoke a perfect place for relaxation, photography, and unforgettable memories.
After descending the mountain, transfer to your lodge near the park for relaxation, Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Trekking & Return to Kigali
After an early breakfast at 6:30am, transfer to the park Office for a gorilla trekking briefing by experienced park rangers. You will then begin your unforgettable trek through the dense rainforest in search of a mountain gorilla family.
The trek offers an incredible opportunity to explore Rwanda’s natural beauty while walking through lush vegetation, volcanic slopes, and scenic forest trails. Along the way, enjoy birdlife, unique plant species, and breathtaking landscapes.
Once the gorillas are found, spend one magical hour observing them in their natural habitat as they feed, play, and interact with one another. This once-in-a-lifetime wildlife encounter creates unforgettable memories and amazing photography moments.
After the trek, return from the forest and enjoy lunch before starting your scenic drive back to Kigali, marking the end of your unforgettable 2-day gorilla trekking and Mount Bisoke hiking experience in Rwanda.
