Many of our families have deep roots on this mountain, giving it a truly personal and meaningful connection for us.

What makes us unique: we are among the first to introduce a plant and cultural discovery walk on Le Morne. Along the trail, your guide shares traditional medicinal plants and everyday uses, bringing the landscape to life.

The hike begins with a steady walk through coastal forest, opening to breathtaking lagoon views. Higher up, the trail becomes more challenging with rocky sections and short scrambling parts. Your guide supports you throughout, ensuring a comfortable and safe pace.

The highlight: as you reach higher ground, the lagoon suddenly opens beneath you, revealing the iconic panorama of Le Morne.

Along the way, you’ll hear the storey of the maroons: escaped enslaved people who once found refuge here, and understand why this mountain remains a powerful symbol of freedom.

At the viewpoint, enjoy time to rest, take photos, and soak in the scenery before descending.

    • G8P9+XPF, Mauritius | LE MORNE KITESURFING BEACH DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS : * When you come off the main road (B9), at the bus stop, take Le Morne road towards Le Morne public beach (where there are signs for hotels and Le Morne Haras horseback riding, do not continue until the village of Le Morne) * Follow Le Morne Road for about 1 km; the road will curve to the left after hotel 'Le Paradis'. You will see the public beach in front of you * Continue along the public beach road for 200 metres until you see a big sign 'Haras Du Morne'- horseriding. * Take the unpaved road left, opposite the sign, at your left, and follow the road until you reach 'Haras du Morne'- horseriding * You can drive further with your car or taxi on that unpaved road (keep right) until you see the lagoon, the road bends to the right , hold on right, and there you will reach Le Morne Kitesurfing Beach.
