Board a coach in Arklow and travel through the stunning Vale of Avoca towards the village of Avoca, known as the home to Ballykissangel, a successful Irish TV show. Alight here and take some free time at lunch to admire Avoca Handweavers — one of the world’s oldest manufacturing companies and Ireland’s oldest surviving business.

Continue to Glendalough — “The Glen of Two Lakes” — a picturesque setting in which to spend the afternoon. Learn of its monastic history as you soak up the mountainous views. Return by train to Dublin by late afternoon.
