Shuiyin River Rafting in Tongzi, Guizhou, is the core attraction of the national 4A-level Shuiyin River Scenic Area, located in Shuiyin Village, Mugua Town, Tongzi County, Zunyi City. Nestled in an original ecological canyon at the Guizhou-Chongqing border, it boasts a prime location and easy access.
The rafting route stretches about 4–5 kilometres with a moderate elevation drop, alternating between thrilling rapids and calm shallows for a balanced experience that is family-friendly and suitable for all ages. Fed by deep natural mountain springs, the river is crystal-clear and pristine, known as “rafting on mineral water”. Shallow sections are 1–2 metres deep, safe for wading and catching fish.
With over 90% of the riverbank covered in original vegetation, 90% of the route is shaded from direct sunlight, offering a cool and comfortable summer escape. The area features typical Danxia landforms, where red cliff faces contrast beautifully with waterfalls and emerald pools, complemented by karst caves and moss ecosystems.
The journey passes more than 20 natural wonders, including Galaxy Magpie Bridge, Mandarin Duck Waterfall, Eternal Bliss Spring, Galaxy Jellyfish, Snow-Flying Waterfall, Twin Waterfalls, Panlong Waterfall Group, and Galaxy Ladder, each showcasing nature’s masterpieces. At the endpoint, visitors can hike for free to explore the Ancient Giant Hall—a rainforest wonderland formed by a collapsed cave, where moss blankets stalactites and wildflowers bloom from rock crevices, exuding a primitive atmosphere.
The rafting takes about 1.5–2 hours, blending the excitement of rushing rapids with serene moments to admire canyon views and enjoy water fights. It is an original ecological canyon rafting destination that combines natural sightseeing, summer cooling, and family fun
