What you can expect

Begin your day with a visit to one of Zanzibar’s famous spice farms, where a guided tour introduces you to the island's aromatic heritage. Walk through lush plantations while learning about and tasting spices such as cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, turmeric, and exotic fruits.

Enjoy a hands-on, sensory experience that connects you to the agricultural and historical backbone of Zanzibar, often called the “Spice Island.”

In the afternoon, continue your adventure with a trip to Jozani Forest, the only national park in Zanzibar. Walk along forest trails and wooden boardwalks through tropical flora and mangrove swamps. The highlight is spotting the Red Colobus monkeys, a rare and endangered primate species found only in Zanzibar. These playful monkeys are often seen up close in the treetops and along the trails.

Optionally, treat yourself to a memorable lunch stop at The Rock Restaurant, dramatically perched on a rock in the Indian Ocean near Michamvi. Accessible by foot during low tide or by boat during high tide, this iconic spot offers breathtaking ocean views and fresh seafood dishes.

As the day winds down, you can either return to Stone Town or head towards one of Zanzibar’s beautiful beach areas like Paje or Nungwi if you plan to extend your stay for some relaxation by the sea.
