Overview

Pizzica experience wants to teach and experience first-hand the dance and tradition of the Salento pizzica, a dance that has become famous throughout the world. The activity will take place in a location from the 1400s, in an ancient courtyard in the heart of the centre of Lecce. You will also be offered an aperitif with local products and wine.
A professional pizzica dancer will teach you the steps so you can dance with her. You will touch the tambourine with your hands, made by Salento artisans.
The languages spoken are: Italian, English, French and Spanish.

Activity itinerary

The Pizzica Experience traditional dance activity will take place in a 1400s courtyard next to the Faggiano Museum, where a professional dancer will illustrate the typical Salento dance and guide you to learn the typical Pizzica steps, touching the tambourines with your hands and tasting a typical Lecce aperitif with local wine.
