Day 1: Zanzibar – Nyerere National Park (Selous)

Your day will start early at your hotel. Please note that hotel pickup is not included in the package; however, we can arrange pickup with our company driver at a very affordable price, depending on the distance between your hotel and the airport.

After check-in at the airport, you will take a scheduled flight to Mtemere Airstrip in Nyerere National Park, one of the largest national parks in Tanzania. Upon arrival, your full-day game drive safari will begin immediately, giving you the opportunity to explore the park’s diverse wildlife and stunning landscapes.

You will enjoy a hot lunch inside the national park during the safari.

After an adventurous day, you will drive back to your lodge for relaxation and dinner.

Day 2: Boat Safari – Fly Back to Zanzibar

After breakfast, you will enjoy a shared boat safari on the Rufiji River. The Rufiji River, the largest river in Tanzania, is home to large populations of hippos, crocodiles, and a wide variety of bird species. With some luck, you may also see elephants and giraffes swimming across the river or relaxing along the sandy riverbanks.

After the boat safari, you will visit a Maasai village to experience one of the most famous tribes in Tanzania and East Africa. During the visit, you will learn about Maasai culture and traditions, including traditional dancing and fire-making using wood. A local guide will explain the Maasai way of life in detail and answer your questions.

After the village visit, you will return to the lodge for lunch and some time to relax. Later in the afternoon, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Zanzibar.
