What you can expect

  • Discover the edge of the Sahara Desert on a 3-day budget tour from Marrakech. Travel through the stunning Dades Valley and visit the famous Kasbah of Ouarzazate. Experience a camel ride across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, watch unforgettable desert sunsets, and spend the night in a traditional desert camp under the stars. Along the way, enjoy the opportunity to learn about the rich history, culture, and traditions of the Berber people for an authentic Moroccan adventure.

    Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Ben Haddou – Boumalne Dades

    Depart Marrakech and cross the spectacular High Atlas Mountains, passing scenic landscapes and traditional Berber villages along the way. Stop to visit the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou, a famous fortified village featured in many Hollywood films, and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Continue through Ouarzazate, known as the Gateway to the Sahara, before driving along the beautiful Dades Valley. End the day in Boumalne Dades or Kelaat Mgouna, where you’ll enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in a traditional kasbah.

    Day 2: Tinghir – Todgha Gorges – Merzouga

    After breakfast, depart for Tinghir and visit the impressive Todgha Gorges, where you’ll have free time to explore the dramatic canyon walls. Enjoy lunch at a local café before continuing towards Merzouga. Upon arrival, meet your camel caravan and ride across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi at sunset for a truly iconic Sahara experience. Arrive at your desert camp before nightfall and enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner under the stars, with live music and entertainment from local nomads. Overnight at the desert camp.

    Day 3: Merzouga – Marrakech

    Wake up early to watch a beautiful sunrise at your Bedouin camp before breakfast (optional). Afterwards, meet your driver and begin the return journey to Marrakech. Enjoy a stop along the way for lunch at a local restaurant. Arrive in Marrakech in the evening, with drop-off at your original departure point or at Djemaa El Fna around 8:00 PM, marking the end of your desert adventure.

    Important Itinerary Information :

    Optional upgrades are available for your night at the Bedouin camp, including a deluxe desert camp experience. Enjoy a luxury private tent with an ensuite shower, private bathroom, and 5-star amenities. Upgrades must be booked per person.
