What you can expect

Day 1: Delhi to Varanasi

Overnight Train: Take a train from New Delhi Railway Station to Varanasi Junction. Choose a convenient express train (such as Kashi Vishwanath Express or Varanasi-Howrah Express) that departs in the evening and arrives the following morning, giving you a good night's sleep while travelling.

Day 1: Delhi to Varanasi
Arrive in Varanasi early in the morning and check-in at your hotel.
Relax and freshen up.

Afternoon:
Visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple: Start your tour by visiting the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple, one of the holiest temples dedicated to Lord Shiva.
Take an auto-rickshaw to the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor (if open) and explore the small lanes of the old city, known for its vibrant energy and spiritual atmosphere.

Evening:
Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat: Head to the Dashashwamedh Ghat by auto-rickshaw to witness the spectacular Ganga Aarti. The evening ritual on the banks of the Ganges River is an unforgettable experience.
Enjoy a boat ride on the Ganges to see the ghats from the water.

Overnight:
Return to your hotel for a relaxing night.

Day 2: Varanasi Sightseeing

Morning:
Morning Boat Ride on the Ganges: Take an early morning boat ride from Assi Ghat or Dashashwamedh Ghat to see the ghats at sunrise, an iconic Varanasi experience.
Visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple again for early morning rituals or prayers.

Mid-morning:
Explore Banaras Hindu University (BHU): Visit the sprawling BHU campus and its Vishwanath Temple, located within the university.

Afternoon:
Sarnath: Take an auto-rickshaw to Sarnath, just 10 km from Varanasi. Sarnath is one of the holiest Buddhist sites, where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon after enlightenment. Visit the Dhamek Stupa, Sarnath Museum, and the Buddha Temples.

Evening:
Shopping at Vishwanath Gali: Return to Varanasi and explore Vishwanath Gali for shopping, offering local handicrafts, silk sarees, and religious items.

Overnight:
Return to your hotel.

Day 3: Varanasi to Delhi

Morning:
Visit Manikarnika Ghat: You can take an auto-rickshaw to this famous cremation ghat to witness the rituals. While sombre, it's a significant part of Varanasi's spiritual heritage.
Visit Tulsi Manas Mandir: This temple is dedicated to Lord Ram and was built at the spot where the epic Ramcharitmanas was written.

Afternoon:
Lunch and relax: Enjoy a traditional lunch at a local restaurant, savouring Banarasi cuisine.
Depart for the station: Take an auto to Varanasi Junction for your return train to Delhi.

Evening:
Board train back to Delhi: Catch an evening train to New Delhi (such as Kashi Vishwanath Express). Enjoy the scenic journey and relax on board.

Night:
Arrive in Delhi the following morning, marking the end of your tour.
