Discover Rio’s underwater world on a small-group boat tour to the Tijuca Islands from Barra da Tijuca, with snorkelling gear provided. The excursion offers chances to spot sea turtles, colourful fish, birdlife, and, seasonally, migrating humpback whales (June–August). Travellers swim and walk on island beaches, admire views of Pedra da Gávea and Dois Irmãos, and enjoy intimate access with a limit of 12 passengers per tour. The journey lasts about 3 hours and departs from Ilha da Coroa 2 (Barra), though the meeting point may switch to Urca depending on conditions.
