What you can expect

  • Beautiful landscapes, picturesque villages, blue sky, and one of the deepest canyons in the world await on this unforgettable 4-day trip. Admire the city of Arequipa, see the immense Colca Canyon, and visit Condor Cross for a look at the majestic Andean birds.

    Day 1: Meet your guide at Arequipa's airport, transfer to your hotel, and have the morning free. In the afternoon, journey from the beautiful colonial district of San Lazaro through the city's picturesque streets and landmarks.

    Visit the Yanahuara colonial district, famous for its Andalusian-style church, the Santa Catalina Monastery, and the famous 17th-century Church of the Society of Jesus and its magnificent San Ignacio Dome.

    Day 2: Set off up the foothills of Chachani Volcano to the spectacular Colca Canyon and cross the reservation of Pampa Cañahuas, where you can see the camel-like vicuñas running free in the high Andean lands. After lunch, take some free time to rest and enjoy your hotel in the valley.

    Day 3: In the morning, go to the Condor Cross viewpoint to see the flight of the condors, huge Andean birds on the brink of extinction and a symbol of the Andes mountain range. Next, see the colonial churches in the towns of Maca and Yanque, have lunch at a local restaurant, and then set off for Arequipa.

    Day 4: A transfer to Arequipa's airport takes you to meet your departing flight as your tour comes to an end.
