Experience the fascinating nature of the Harz on a guided hiking tour to the Hanskühnenburg with our host and certified mountain hiking guide Andreas. This varied tour combines an athletic challenge, impressive landscapes, and exciting insights into one of the most beautiful regions of the Harz National Park.
We first meet at the hotel and then drive by private car to the starting point of the hike in Riefensbeek. From there, the most challenging part of the tour begins: on varied forest paths, it's a steady climb up to the Hanskühnenburg, a popular mountain lodge on the Acker ridge. During the ascent, you will learn interesting facts about nature, the history of the region, and the special features of the Harz mountain region.
Once we arrive at the Hanskühnenburg, we will take a well-deserved break. Those who want can refuel here with the popular homemade soups and stews and enjoy the wonderful views of the surrounding mountain landscape.
After the break, the hike continues to the striking Hanskühnenklippe. From here, you have impressive views over the forests and mountain ranges of the Harz. The route then runs along the unique raised bog, a valuable natural area with very special plant and animal life. The vast moorlands and the unspoiled landscape make this section one of the highlights of the tour.
We will finally hike back to Riefensbeek to the starting point along easily accessible paths. Look forward to a guided hiking tour with spectacular views, exciting experiences in nature, and the opportunity to get to know the Harz from a very special perspective.
This tour is suitable for experienced hikers with a good basic level of fitness who want to actively experience the beauty of the Harz.
