Your visit will start with a short film in the auditorium, followed by a chance to explore the heritage centre and discover more about the remarkable history of John Dewar & Sons. This part of your visit is self guided with the aid of audio guides/ipads, available in various languages. Your experienced tour guide will then take you on a tour of the Aberfeldy Distillery and warehouse so you can learn more about the whisky making magic! The tour ends with a wee dram in the whisky lounge for adults / seniors. Drivers can request a take-away pack to create a Maime Taylor cocktail at home. Your ticket does not include transport to/from the distillery. The distillery is located on the outskirts of picturesque Aberfeldy, nestled on the banks of the River Tay, 20 mins from the A9 in Highland Perthshire, 90 minutes from Edinburgh. Free parking.  Additional tastings and whisky cocktails are available at the bar. You can browse the shop showcasing the full Dewar's portfolio along with exclusive limited edition single cask bottlings and fill your own bottle with a specially selected cask of Aberfeldy Single Malt. Tours take place throughout the day, present your voucher on arrival. Please note, last tour is 1 hour prior to closing, however we recommend allowing 1.5 hours for your visit. There is a cafe on-site, however your ticket does not include food - booking is not essential for the cafe. As a traditional working distillery, visitors must wear sensible footwear on the distillery tour (no high heels or open toed shoes permitted). Unfortunately dogs (except assistance dogs) are not permitted in the visitor centre or distillery.  The visitor centre and heritage centre is fully accessible, however due to the historical nature of the distillery building, the tour can be adapted for less mobile visitors.
