Day 1: Arrival in Addis Ababa
Arrive in Addis Ababa and check into your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a city tour of Addis Ababa. Spend the night in a hotel in Addis Ababa.
Day 2: Addis Ababa to Chebera Churchura National Park
Depart Addis Ababa in the morning via either the Addis-Jima-Ameya road or Addis-Shashemene-Sodo-Waka-Tocha, and have lunch on the way. Arrive in Chebera Churchura National Park in the late afternoon. Enjoy the scenery of the park from the park headquarters and the campsites where you will stay overnight.
Day 3: Full Day in Chebera Churchura National Park
Embark on a morning expedition to the national park, walking to the Meka and Erka Forests. Spot mammals like African elephants, Cape buffalo, lions, and leopards, and enjoy birdwatching activities. Return for lunch, then visit the hot springs and waterfall sites. Explore a small lake and other birding sites. Stay overnight in the camp.
Day 4: Chebera to Maze National Park
After breakfast, drive to Maze National Park. Explore the wildlife and landscape features of the area, known for the endangered Swayne’s Hartebeest. Spend the night camping in Maze National Park.
Day 5: Full Day Game Drive in Maze National Park
Embark on a full-day game drive in Maze National Park, featuring vast savannah grasslands. Expect to see various mammals such as buffalo, oribi, bohor, red buck, warthog, bushbuck, waterbuck, greater kudu, lesser kudu, bush pig, Anubis baboon, vervet monkey, leopard, and wild cats. Spend the night at a tented camp in Maze National Park.
Day 6: Maze National Park to Arba Minch
After breakfast, drive to Arba Minch, stopping to visit the Dorze village to witness their traditions. Spend the night in a hotel in Arba Minch.
Day 7: Arba Minch to Addis Ababa
After breakfast, take a boat ride on Lake Chamo to see Nile crocodiles, hippos, and aquatic birds. Then, drive to the airport to fly back to Addis Ababa. Upon arrival, check into a hotel for day use. After lunch and a coffee break, enjoy a city tour of Addis Ababa, including visits to the National Museum, the Ethnographic Museum, and Historical Unity Park. Take some time to shop for souvenirs at local markets or craft shops. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner at Juda Abyssinia Ethiopian traditional restaurant with music and dance. Finally, transfer to the airport for your flight home.
