What you can expect

  • Begin your journey by meeting your driver at the arrivals terminal of Juan Santamaría International Airport. Receive assistance with your luggage and settle into a private, air-conditioned vehicle.

    Travel exclusively with your group as you head towards Palmares, Alajuela. Before reaching your accommodation, stop at the Madre Verde Nature Reserve in La Granja de Palmares.

    Enjoy a self-guided walk of approximately 40 to 45 minutes along a short, easy section of the trails. Observe the recovering forest, soak in the natural surroundings, and take time to capture photos.

    The reserve offers trails of low and medium difficulty, as well as viewpoints and areas for visitors to enjoy. The property was acquired in 2000 and was previously a cattle and coffee farm. It is now covered by forest through natural regeneration and reforestation processes.

    After your walk, return to the vehicle and continue directly to your hotel, apartment, holiday home, or pre-confirmed accommodation in Palmares.
