Meet your tour guide next to the Torre de Santa María in Plaza de Cervantes and get ready for an essential and in-depth introduction to Alcalá de Henares, the city of Cervantes and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. For approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, you will follow a complete route through the historic centre, which combines an engaging commentary with a significant historical and architectural context.

The sightseeing tour includes admission to notable indoor spaces that help bring the city's past to life. Visit the Chapel of the Oidor, where Miguel de Cervantes was baptized, and enter the famous University of Alcalá de Henares, exploring its courtyards, as well as the Paraninfo and the Chapel of San Ildefonso. You will also enter the historic Corral de Comedias; if admission is not possible due to a theatrical performance, you will visit the Hospital de Antezana instead. The route also includes the Museo Casa Natal de Cervantes for an even closer connection to the writer's legacy.

As you stroll, discover the most iconic streets and squares: Plaza de Cervantes, Calle Mayor, and Calle de la Imagen, as well as the old Plaza de Palacio and the city walls. Your tour guide will tell you about the history of the Archbishop's Palace and the surroundings of the Regional Archaeological Museum. The experience ends in Plaza de los Santos Niños, home to the impressive Cathedral of Saints Justus and Pastor, where the sightseeing tour concludes.

This is the ideal tour for travellers who want a high-quality cultural experience and a comprehensive understanding of Alcalá's history, architecture, and living traditions.
