Overview

Hey! I am David Alba, certified guide and former student of this house.

We will travel to the Spanish Golden Age to discover Cardinal Cisneros’ dream, creating the First University City of Europe. Place where geniuses like Lope de Vega, Quevedo or Calderón de la Barca studied. We will see from the hooliganism of the students of yesteryear to the solemnity of the real events.

️ What will we visit? “Entrance fees included to the University”

· Convent of “Malaga” (Faculty of Philosophy and Letters) : Departure point.
· El Parador and the Student Hostel.
· St. Peter and Paul Street.
· Calle Libreros : The great publisher of the University
· Facade of the University of Alcalá.
· The Chapel of San Ildefonso : Place where the Cisneros cenotaph is located.
· The 3 Historic Courtyards.
· El Paraninfo : A privileged place where the Cervantes Awards are presented.
